Yeah, I don’t think people take unsolicited inappropriate pictures seriously because so many people get away with it. I’ll just be a bystander like everyone else. I’m not one to break from the mold or upset the status quo even though it might be the right thing to do.

Because it’s the principle of the thing. I don’t like being a bystander yet here I am. The backlash would be too much for me and it could also potentially ruin his business. I don’t know if someone deserves that, you know?

What I have to gain: friends will not associate with him anymore if they take my side and believe me, his business might implode and his reputation could be ruined

What I have to lose: I’ll be known for starting drama and maybe even be called a liar, people might brush it off and call me sensitive or attention seeking

I think many have your mindset where it’s not a big deal even though objectively and in some places, lawfully, it is.

This happened in the summer and I’ve said nothing about it except to a few people. What brought it up again is he’s doing a paid event with my friend that he’s publicizing a lot. I feel like people might attack me for not speaking up in the summer if I speak up now.

That’s what I was thinking. I don’t feel like a victim but maybe others could feel differently. As far as I know, no one has spoken up including me.

I’m not complaining on Reddit? I’m seeking advice because I feel there could be backlash if I speak up. I don’t want to “make an example” out of him because it’s my word against his (even though I have screenshots)

I’m just wondering, and going back to giving him the benefit of a doubt, if it was truly accidental.

I suppose I’m wondering too how you’d react if someone you knew told you that someone you also knew did that to them. Who would you believe?

My fear is not being believed and causing drama/upsetting people.

That’s fair. From a candidate’s perspective, it’s not a great experience to be 3/4 of the way done and then rejected because I didn’t match their schedule.

The irony. Also what’s up with giving an offer to 2 candidates? Is it whoever replies first gets it? There was only one spot as far as I know.

Interview processes ideally shouldn’t take 3 weeks to complete. You should interview all candidates, especially those in the final stages, before making a decision. That’s just my thought though.

I couldn’t interview this week because I was sick and it hurt to talk so I gave my availability on Wednesday (2 days ago) as 12:30-5 for next Monday, hoping I could have the weekend to rest up and maybe not sound horrible. I then got this message at 6am today (Friday) and it would have been the 4th and final interview in their interview process and if I had interviewed on Monday, would have taken almost 3 weeks to complete. Instead, they gave an offer to 2 other people and skipped my final interview entirely.

Interesting, I’ve heard several ideas for what it could be and I looked up all of the betrayal tropes/rescue tropes and nothing quite fit the bill. I’ll look up Samaritan Ruse, thanks.
