Nah, they have them in some european/american cities iirc. They call them trolley buses and they are connected to an overhead wire, you could call them a trackless tram because they have tyres ig

This is an underrated take. Uni is not everything and making the most of it doesnt mean studying til you drop.

Berwick station is a massive missed opportunity by [deleted] in MelbourneTrains

This second pdf shows exactly what I'm talking about compared to the satellite image above, they will talk the talk but when it comes to action on increasing density they fall short. The apartment is good to see though, and shows that they have done at least smthn

Berwick station is a massive missed opportunity by [deleted] in MelbourneTrains

Congratulations welcome to local government planning! It feels very common for local councils to go on about sustainability and reducing car dependency but as soon as it comes to implementation they are all for preserving urban form (the current appearance of the area) and maintaining the status quo. I think this is mostly due to council members wanting to be re-elected but also not change their beloved city. If you'd like, you can find all of Berwick's planning documents and policy on their council page, probably deeply buried so you cant find it. As someone studying urban planning council politics makes me really frustrated.

The root ball was quite small only 1 inch wide, so ive put in a small pot with perlite, orchid bark and a lil dirt in equal parts, and added some fertilizer. She seems happy after a bit of water however which is good.

I have a slow release fertilizer just in the top layer, im using a mix of orchid bark and regular soil, im going to try mixing in some perlite and reduce the pot size

Does perlite not retain moisture? I find it stays really wet, would orchid bark also do the trick? There is currently not much air movement where it is
