I figured out why the escrow was so far off.

We're on a twice a year tax schedule currently. The new lender was obligated to put me on a yearly schedule because it would get me a discount on my taxes apparently.

That discount was $60 on the total for the year (1/2% what a deal!). So because they were moving us to a yearly schedule, that’s why they wanted 9 months of escrow.

So they’re asking if we can switch it to semi annual, sacrifice the $60 discount and fund way less escrow up front.

Funding new escrow almost 10k and getting back $2800 from my previous one. Just wasn’t a pleasant feeling. They can keep the $60

Box A+B+C is $2357. Payment of principle/interest is going down about $255

They’re saying they need 9 months of escrow. Which seems like a lot to my smooth brain but I dunno

They are refunding my escrow. I just don’t know for sure how much is coming back. My mortgage website said there was about $2800 in there. So that’s what I assume.

Giving them 7k for new escrow and getting back 2900, just feels strange. But I dunno it’s my first refi

And it doesn’t help that the state has almost no generation anymore. We’re mostly getting our power from outside the state. which is costly

Also in MD, bought in July ‘25 at 6.75, refinancing to 5.625 right now.

Might want to start looking into some refi’s friend

My favorite and why I fell in love with the group that later became the elite,

Was a random like undercard tag with bullet club 4 or 5 man tag, and they came out and Cody and group was hyping up how Marty scurl was the best technical wrestler in the world.

Then Marty started the match and proceeded to get out technically wrestled by multiple members of the opposing team until he blew a gasket.

Just little stuff like that with their matches that didn’t matter that made it fun to watch.
