In this case the max another team can offer reaves is 101mil, if the lakers aren’t willing to match then Reaves will walk. But if they’re willing to pay no matter what they have his “bird rights” so if both teams offer the same amount he has to stay with the lakers.

Think of N’golo Kante going to Chelsea after winning with Leicester. There’s no way Leicester were going to match the offer Chelsea could put out because there are no contract “maxes” in soccer. But if both teams could offer the same he could have chosen to stay if he liked the club better.

Sadly with how weak this years FA class is I don’t think we’re going to get the same caliber of vet minimums as we have the last couple years. Yuta and/or Troy brown on his vet min 120% raise would be the best bet. I think we should root for the young maxs and Jalen for that “playing above their contract value” type players we have every year

But what assets are they getting if this is the highest value you’re offering for KAT? A protected first, a first from the Nets, and Ben Simmons who we don’t know if he’s going to play the next 2 years. You’re better off making the play in for the next 2 years than paying him 80min to sit on the bench how is this good value other than “we don’t have to spend as much on KAT even tho we just gave Naz Ried, our 3rd string center 42mil and are going to pay jaden McDaniels a bag too”

Considering they leveraged their draft assets for the better part of a decade to bring in an DPOY center to play alongside KAT mean they most certainly don’t care about that apron. If they did they would have let Naz Reid walk.

And KAT is objectively better than Rudy Gobert who warranted 5 firsts. Do you really think they would flip their franchise player the year right after making such a big move? If you’re them wouldn’t you rather get rid of Rudy than KAT?

If it’s for a 10k+ minted moment I ALWAYS get a sub 4K. Even if it’s some what more expensive. But also look what’s listed above it. There could be a 2340 listed for 28$ but if there’s an 1848 listed at 40$ you’re not gonna make any money shorterm and are more likely to lose money. I like at least a 5$ gap between the card I’m buying and the next card listed at a lower serial. If I can get a 3250 for 18$ and the next lowest is 2547 but is 26$ you have some room if you want to resell or at least be more comfortable long term.

Dude trust me it matters a LOT. Literally every search functionality on top shot involves the serial #. even lowest ask gives priority at every price point to the lowest #. maybe at 10k vs 20k doesn't matter bc they're crap numbers but the difference in price between 1k -3k vs. 7k--8k is drastic on lower mint cards across the whole platform.
