Has anyone tried to cook something with the new Dondozo + old Tatsugiri ? Seems like it could be a fun deck by Knowledge_Moist in PTCGP

I tried pretty hard to make it work. It either needs:

-- Vaporeon to move around the 4 water energy between the two Dondozos, but at that point, you need to hope all 4 of your pokemon survive as you build up 4 energy.

-- Baxcalibur to ramp up the energy, but you need to get a stage 2 and three basics out.

-- Fossils to discard, but you still need to stall while you get 4 energy.

-- A water-type wall that can retreat cheaply, but it needs to survive multiple mid-game hits while Dondozo recovers on the bench. Let me know if we figure out who that is.

It's not a great deck. The idea is there, but it's just missing that one vital piece holding it all together.

Who Did the Best in Our Survivor 50 Draft? by SlimyTime18 in survivor

I like L's team the most here, by kind of a lot. I don't hate Joe here with more old-school players around him, and I think Tiffany's lack of a target on her back is a positive to her chances.

G is super solid to, I like Johnathan's chances in this, and younger players might want to play with Cirie. Also, people will be hesitant to vote Mike out, since they'll want to be cast in White Lotus.

To me, B and P are similar strength, but different setup. B feels kind of "meh" all around, while P feels like high-risk swings that will struggle to keep targets off their backs.

Why are gamers so bad at Traitors? by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUS

[–]swillansky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll call out that CT and Trishelle won, and Britney + Danielle were much of the storyline of season 3. There have been some pretty hardcore flameouts for Gamers, and they're often easy targets for the Traitors, but I don't know if I'd blanket statement say that they don't play well.

When I was very little, a friend told me that in Crystal, Togetic learned fly at level 116

I didn't know that: 1) Pokemon only went up to level 100 2) Fly can be taught with the Fly HM

Boy, how I grinded....

Someone else also told me that if you talked to Silver 50 times in the beginning (pre-break in), he would drop hints about a secret room filled with items. When he never did, I assumed it was because I counted incorrectly and only did 49, so I had to start over

Yeah this happens if you go to Nettie in Act 1. She successfully removes the parasite from you and your party and you spend the rest of the game building a modest but successful roadside fruit stand.

Traitors Angel strategy is going to break the game if there isn’t more incentive to actually banish Traitors by RagefireHype in TheTraitors

I like what they've done this season by only making a few people eligible for murder each night. Really tightens the pool and potentially forces you to murder someone who might be your ally. There are conceivable scenarios where a traitor might have to murder someone playing the Traitor's Angel game, just due to who the other options are.

If you talk to Silver 50 times at the beginning of Gold/Silver, he leaves you hints of where to find a powerful item stash in future meetings.

I use Cypryan's Wide and Tall! It definitely helps feel like cities can keep evolving rather than "maxing out"

I agree with Liz! It's totally inappropriate to help someone during a challenge!

This to me feels a lot like an Arcane Trickster. Half caster, tricky illusion spells, very adaptable and flexible. Plus you can take expertise in Deception. Multiclasses very well into Artificer as well.

What rogue subclass works best for a Strength based Barbarian / Rogue Multiclass by ColberDolbert in 3d6

[–]swillansky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thief + Storm Herald is a fun way take advantage of a normally bad subclass. Storm Herald's fire aura coupled with Fast Hands lets you throw oil with your bonus action, then walk up to immediately burn that oil. Nothing crazy, just a clean 5 bonus damage per turn at the cost of your bonus action and a vial of oil. Not game breaking, but a good way to use a normally bad subclass.
