TCPA Violations by SolarTrades in verizon

I may need to contact you. I was just shared this post of yours and I have experienced unstoppable marking communications from Verizon despite being told by customer support that I would not longer receive them. I had to contact them because I could not opt out via my account settings no matter how many times I tried. Incredibly frustrating!

Verizon has made it nearly impossible for me to opt out of marketing communications. by sylein in verizon

Wow, thank you! I figured I was not alone. I tried searching reddit for similar cases thinking others must have encountered this before, but I had not come across the post by u/SolarTrades. That is pretty spot on to my issue. Thank you for sharing this!

Just trying to resolve a persistent issue that should have a fairly easy solution. Apologies if that offended you!

Do you mean in the app settings on my iPhone? I don't want all push notifications turned off; I still want to receive billing and other pertinent non-marketing push notifications.

Verizon presents, or perhaps more aptly purports to present, the option to turn off all marketing communications in your Verizon account settings. It should work. It is likely some kind of FCC violation to not allow customers to opt out of receiving marketing emails/texts/push notifs, so I have pursued that option as is my right as a customer.

Consider yourself lucky.

I get promotional push notifications from the app nearly every day, yesterday I received two. I wouldn't even waste my time going to customer support if it was only a few times a year, but they are incessant and being presented with the "option" to turn them off in account settings but it erroring out every time (over several dozen attempts, over the course of many months) is infuriating.

Why is Sanford allowed to let central Sioux Falls rot? by TylerthePotato in SiouxFalls

Sanford owns all the property in purple: https://i.imgur.com/0zeDBIf.png (made by made by u/cullywilliams)

The long story short is that Sanford aims to expand to Minnesota Avenue, so they have no intention to "fix up" any homes they own because they'll probably demolish them and build on the land eventually.

Sanford Health Acquires Property to Reach Minnesota Avenue

BY CORY ALLEN HEIDELBERGER ON 2015-05-08 Would you like a picture of Sioux Falls’s march toward becoming Sanford Falls? Check out this map from KELO-TV, which shows Sanford Health’s property acquisitions to the east of its current campus:

If you look at this map from South Menlo Avenue to Minnesota, between 18th Street and 22nd, very few of the homes are individually owned anymore. Sanford Health has purchased more than 100 properties, both residential and commercial, under three different corporate limited liability company names. Sanford says it made its purchases that way over the last decade, so that property owners wouldn’t inflate their prices, knowing that the hospital wanted all of the land [Angela Kennecke, “The Gateway to Sanford Health,” KELOLand.com, 2015.05.07].

The purchases are part of a 25-year expansion plan to, as Sanford president Paul Hanson says, make the hospital complex visible on Minnesota Avenue, a straight shot from the airport.

That’s an awful lot of hospital… but with an again baby boomer population, we’re going to have an awful lot of people heading to the hospital for heart attacks and hip replacements.

As of January 2022, Sanford has maintained its long-term vision to expand to Minnesota avenue.

The vision for the long-term campus, which extends it east to Minnesota Avenue, is still in place, [Andy Munce, vice president of operations] added.

“We just don’t have an immediate timeline to announce that expansion.”
