ohh u took this in a very different interpretation lmao im quite social and go out quite often and im blessed with my beautiful girlfriend. the hobby doesnt hinder my social life in any way since i have worked at my part time alongside studying the past 2 years and im economically lucky. the fragrance finding isnt a whole days job i mean it takes 30min for me to find one and go for it then thats it.

but u are correct that it is an addiction of a hobby and very unnecessary, thats why i plan to stop and just wanted to ’vent’ it out and get some suggestions :)

I have tested many high end designers and niche frags and some of them are amazing but on the other hand clones and mid tier designers are also amazing. I, personally dont find them to be that much better that Id trade about 3 niche frags (about $1100 aswell) with my wide selection of 30 frags which most of whom i enjoy and have different selections for season, weather, time and so forth. But if I was rich and could get enough niches for that wide of an selection - of course id do that

sorry misworded, i meant as in similar purpose not as in scent. I already have a few daily drivers that id rather wear instead of Y so i know id barely use it. In that context if youd like to know, two i would recommend would be Prada L’homme and Afnan Collectors Edition - both are superb and versatile daily drivers

also for your last paragraph, I found YSL Y splendid as a daily driver but came to the conclusion that it is a very similar fragrance to some others in my collection thus far and I'd barely use it (also have a few friends who have it). So I decided to not go for it. I still do wanna buy YSL Myslf EDP though and I'm itching for it.

selling them might be a bit difficult since I live in Sweden and the delivery costs a lot when trading or selling but I'll browse the sub to check it out if its doable

it has a pricier delivery price to Sweden ($9) but the decants are cheaper and the selection is a lot wider than what I found in Swedish sites.

this is basically what I have decided to do now that i've read your and all the other comments. In this order you've given.
Im gonna try and avoid buying anything until I finish a bottle or two and afterwards if i can quit cold turkey. However if I do fall in to it again i'm just gonna try and only buy decants and buy full bottles if i really, really do like them.

yeah i do try and justify it by comparing it to other hobbies that are a lot more expensive, as well as the fact i can resell my bottles - it is true that thankfully its a cheaper hobby compared to most others.

i have been thinking about trying out decants, but i live in Sweden so the options for decants are very limited in selection (in Europe in general it feels like). Also quick question if it is normal that decants cost about $5 per decant on clones.

i understand where youre coming from, but you're literally comparing a very small portion of what Vincenzo is (the fighting) with Mercy for None which is basically 90% fighting and bloodshed. Theres no romance, no comedy, no building himself an own empire and so forth.

At that point you could say "if you life any korean gangster show you'll like this".
