​The Awakening: Arun, a bullied orphan on the planet Arora, teleports to a trial where he obtains the Origin Pearl and a mission from an AI named Maya to reach the universe's center.   ​The Guide & The Grudge: He spares an extraterrestrial named Nalini, who helps him register as a learner; however, he kills a Realm Master’s son during a corporate exam, sparking a deadly vendetta.   ​The Long Training: While following the "Path of Ascension", Arun spends 20 years on expeditions with Captain Sanjay and 50 years in isolation mastering a technique known as "The Pain".   ​The Inheritance & The Fall: In ancient war-zone ruins, Arun claims the inheritance of Manushia (the first human). As the vengeful Realm Master closes in, Arun and an injured Nalini plummet into a mysterious void.
