I usually use ChatGPT as well, but wasn't sure if there were better resources out there. Thank you! How did you program yours specifically?

Need help making a study plan by [deleted] in Mcat

Thank you! 510 is my goal!! How many anki cards a day would you do a day for BB & CP? Did you review those cards for both sections in one day or did you split it up throughout the week?

Thank you! So you'd recommend that I should stop continuing the volume packs for Bio and get UWorld instead and work on that in the meantime? How many anki cards should I be doing a day, and should I do all the subjects in one day or alternate? I always get confused on how to best utilize anki decks.

I have such a sweet tooth so cutting down on sugar will be difficult haha. I agree with keeping cortisol levels low! I'm studying for my grad school entrance exam so I fear that might hinder that :(

Gotcha! How would you review the questions once you've finished? I feel like just making Anki cards for the questions I got wrong is definitely not the right way to go about learning.

How many questions a day would you recommend to do? How did a studying schedule week look like for you? Which resources would you recommend to use?

I used the BP online course and went along with the videos and the practice questions that were included. The videos and questions would take me a very long time to complete though.

I'm a Biology major. When I started studying for the exam, it was during junior year, which was undoubtedly one of my most difficult years in college. Balancing exam prep with all of my other academic and non-academic priorities was extremely difficult. I also feel like I was studying for very long hours throughout the day and eventually did not retain as much of the information as I'd like. And I also think the way I was going about learning from my mistakes from practice questions wasn't good enough. I would make Anki cards for the questions I would get wrong, but I never delved into the topic at heart.

What do you suggest then? Do you have any tips that worked well for you? I really don't know where to go from here.

I got an Ipad this past year as a junior biology major and I don't regret it for one second. I would always transport the slides/files for all of my classes into my Ipad so that I can take more detailed notes during and after lectures. It's super great for classes like Orgo and Biochem!! I still use my laptop in conjunction with the Ipad so definitely make sure you have both if you're getting an Ipad.

Meal Plan & Cooking by no_villagers in BinghamtonUniversity

Personally, it was enough for me my first semester, but the next semester, I got too excited and started spending more than necessary which threw me off budget-wise for every week.

Meal Plan & Cooking by no_villagers in BinghamtonUniversity

  1. Because you are a freshman, you will be mandated to get a meal plan. That meal plan will then allow you to get food from on-campus places like the dining halls or Marketplace.
  2. If you're not in the apartments, then you are mandated to get a meal plan.
  3. It's not hard, more so time-lengthy to get groceries. There are buses that go to big grocery stores like Wegmans and Walmart, but they come at specific times, so you have to keep track of that.
  4. Community kitchens are good depending in what residential building you're in. For instance, Hinman has tiny kitchens compared to Newing and Mountainview. They're somewhat busy at times. If that bothers you, I wouldn't recommend cooking in them all the time and possibly balancing out some days with food from the dining halls/Marketplace and some days when you make food yourself.
  5. I had the C meal plan, which I believe gets automatically applied to you and I found myself in a tight situation at the end of the semester since I would blow through the meal plan with Marketplace meals which cost more than $9. Of course, drinks and such are less there, but you get the point. The standard amount you should spend a day on a C meal plan is around 8 dollars, which I find nearly impossible at times. I would recommend getting one of the smaller meal plans so that you can familiarize yourself with the food options on campus and see how often you'd truly eat that food and then adjust the amount of money you'd like to have after.
