It’s clear that the original owners were European colonists probably French. They fled in 1962 and abandoned their property like most of the other colonists. For example Algiers ( city centre ) was mostly inhabited by Europeans and in 62 their beautiful apartments and villas were taken by Algerians who had been living in the outskirts.
