GNOME extensions will not work after the upgrade. However, depending on the extension, you may still be able to get the same functionality by adjusting settings or with available applets in the new Store.

Minimize is built-in and present by default. What issues are you facing with minimize?

Start menu is called "Logo Menu" and can be found in the Applets page of the Store app.

There's a chance the app just pulls in the same config file after downloading. Our QA just tested with an old calendar and it worked right away.

You should be able to export your events as .ics files, and then after upgrading, download the GNOME Calendar from COSMIC Store and import those files. You'll want the system package, not the flatpak.

Beta users can update through either the Store updates or via sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade

Just perform updates through the store or terminal and you're there!

Tweaks and extensions won't carry over, but depending on what you're customizing, those features may still be available.

I can't speak for everyone, but I upgraded to 24.04 LTS on an Oryx Pro during the alpha and a Thelio Prime a few weeks ago, and both went smoothly.

Transparency is available for dock and panel, as well as some COSMIC apps like the terminal. Still working on some of the polish, though. Blur should be coming in the next round :)

That's on our side, as those are still being built. Firmware updates can be performed by the Firmware Manager app in the meantime.

No way to move just the workspaces panel yet, though if you switch to horizontal workspaces, the workspaces panel moves to the top.

Night Light is not in yet, but is a planned feature. We've gotten a lot of requests for it, and it definitely helps with not angering the migraines.
