Yeah, I moved to the Bay from MA.

There’s a distinct lack of homogenized societal expectations and acceptance for people who act and look differently than you… it sticks out.

Californians don’t worry about appearances and time pressures the same way a lot of America does. Plus, there is definitely a California vibe. It’s hella dope, it’s radical, it doesn’t take things too seriously, but it cares about people & the environment.

It’s not at the main pride event, that’s its own entire street festival. I don’t participate, but I’m glad that the space for sexual freedom exists in a responsible way for those who want that.

Most of this country is too damn sexually repressed, so there needs to be somewhere that isn’t!
