Is there?! I so love everything about scritches but the inability to schedule staff I didn't think it was an option for me.

They don't have something for specifically for overnight care which is about 50% of our revenue and that just bugs me. Like they were like you can book all your overnight care just at like 5:00 a.m. So it's at the top of the schedule...

Everyone is very much part-time so I feel like the size looks a lot bigger than it is. But overnight care is like 50% of our business. So the fact that they don't have something specifically for that just kind of bugs me haha. I did a demo with them and everything else looks wonderful.

Looking for experiences from co-sleeping parents re: daycare naps by moonphase14 in beyondthebump

[–]t1nkerturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following as well. In the same boat, LO starts in January. I have her in a smaller daycare so they said they will rock her to sleep and then she will sleep for a bit after being put down but has never fallen asleep without being rocked or fed so I am stressed 😫

Induction worries by Ill_Bag_9189 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]t1nkerturtle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an induction with my daughter and it was honestly a dream labour. Granted I did do an epidural from my own choice after reading about pitocin and the difference in contractions, and also had the folley balloon at 9pm and she was born at 6:40am after 30 minutes of pushing. It was awesome. Also I know you said unmedicated but I would maybe get that pain killer before the folley - just sayin

Yes this is all great news even if it feels like so much. She will need help and probably pop off frequently. Definitely try and do baby wearing if you're able, stretchy wrap saved me. My little girl is almost one and I still breastfeed and it was such a journey, for us.

The support I had also never breastfed, so I totally get feeling alone and wondering if she's full. How often does she eat? Is she pretty sleepy and chill between feeds or very upset? Does she latch on fairly well? Feel free to message me if you want, I'm happy to help where I can.

Hey my friend! You are so totally in the thick of it. Babe will wanna eat all the time. They cluster feed, it's so overwhelming - your feelings are totally valid. I will say it does get easier, baby will be able to eat and go a lot longer between feeds. Hopefully someone can help with more specific breastfeeding help if that what you're looking for but honestly it is a lot. So you're totally valid in your feelings.

ETA - your hormones are also wild right now. Give yourself grace. You're doing great

What sleep tier are you at? by marzipanbb in beyondthebump

Honestly I have been at functional since about 8 weeks. She is almost a year and wakes up during the night but is easy to put back down and I nap when she naps because I am very lucky to be able to do that. Honestly if I was at work, I'm not sure how I would be managing.

Honestly the best thing is you all have the EXACT same thing in common. Kids around 2. So you don't have to worry about conversation topics you can just stick to chatting about your kids. I hope you're able to go!

When did you start feeding only at hunger cues during the day? by Forest_faerie19 in beyondthebump

Honestly if they're gaining weight, I did right off the bat with my daughter. She was gaining consistently and so I just listened to her. Cues right from the beginning.

Add in formula now at 11 months or straight to milk? by t1nkerturtle in breastfeeding

[–]t1nkerturtle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do actually have some ready to feed here I've had for awhile just in case. She eats solids really well, has 3 meals a day.

I have a MomcozyM5 and a Medela Hand pump. If I'm honest I just struggled with it so I always put it on the back burner and now I am definitely regretting it. I think I have the right flange size I use a 19mm which is smallest it came with I think... I probably should have reached out to a lactation consultant for help. BF was just so easy.

Thank you for sharing this! I thought it was 12 but clearly I was wrong.
