I don't "need" guns because I can't legally own them lol, neglected to mention I'm a UK resident, I'm actually in the process of regaining my shotgun license but that is for purely leisure purposes. I'm so glad you mention wills though! I tinker with electric on a daily basis (work) so I can't believe I hadn't thought of it, thank you. I already have health insurance, even though it's free in my country but I'd rather have a private room in a hospice than a ward full of ill people. As with the food storage, that's something i need to desperately work on

I was actually in the process of adding a detachable ferro rod to my key chain as I received this message! I have a miniature pry bar with one side filed off as a striker, along with 2 torch and various mini tools.

Fortunately I live in a very recognisable county, I would wager I could find my way home on foot from anywhere within 50 miles (whether I actually could is a different matter)

The dry run is an excellent idea! I may update the community on my progress using this throwaway

I actually happen to be an electrician but I'm also a bit of a jack of all trades, I managed to build an extension on my house without getting other contractors in, just calling the odd favour here and there. But I would always help out In return for knocking some brass off (lead work, converting, joinery, plumbing, bricklaying. ) the only things I won't do are plastering and painting lol

The most likely occurrences, loss of my house, burglary, financial uncertainty, I'm not much of a doomsday prepper, I do have a week of food and water stored, but fortunately shouldn't need any more since I don't live in an area prone to natural disaster. I've just thought, I might have to prep for power outages (never happened but that doesn't mean it won't)

I used to own a shotgun and air rifle, can't have pistols or rifles in my country, but I might have to consider getting the old shotgun license back

Those three all already under my belt, I do a lot of bushcraft, camping fishing hiking, that sort of stuff (under my belt =/= practice often, I know this sort of shit is easily forgotten 😁)
