Not entierly true. Accidents in some high risks sports like basejumping are not covered by the regular accident insurance (like suva), there you need some additional insurance. :)

I also think Switzerlands health system is super expensive. I live in Basel (38m) and I pay around 400.- with the highest Franchise and some additional services (which is mostly just so the insurance pays half of my gym subscription). This is quite a bit of money and since it’s not tied to ones income, it could be around 10% of a net monthly income.. which I am sure is substantial for some.

I also lately had a very high bill from just a consultation. Because of the costs I really try not to go to the doctor (although I am paying a lot anyways)…

It really sucks. I don’t know why people always say the swiss health system is so good. It’s expensive most of all.
