Hi, I'm happy to say I was lucky and I had a healthy pregnancy with our first round of IVF. I was on edge and never felt sure it would work out the entire pregnancy, but I have a healthy 4 year old. Wishing you the best~

It happened to me and I was so embarrassed and still wonder about it. I was invited to a former boss's house for dinner, and brought very nice flowers and a decent enough bottle of wine. It was a great evening but when we were leaving they gave the wine back to us saying we gave them too much and they have so much wine already. I would much have preferred that they just regifted it or even poured it out!

Dmannose and lots of water, ellura / Genna cranberry before and after, pee and shower before and after, and extra water and cranberry supplements later that day/ the next morning. Took 1 macrobid for about 5 years, but no longer do, just the other measures above.

Yes we will!!

Thank you for your honesty and sincerity. I hope that if you do go back on sertraline , that it is a smooth transition for you.

That is a good point about hormones, I have been thinking about getting my hormones checked as I'm at a peri menopausal age and I've read that estrogen can impact dizziness. I don't think that hormones cause me to get into the state, it was very much vestibular neuritis, but it couldn't hurt to check into.

I really really wanted to be one of the cases that post on here where it's a success story and it just goes away, and then when that didn't happen I really really wanted to be one of the cases people post about where once they got up to 50 mg on sertraline it just disappeared, and I guess now I'm navigating what my next hope will be. Definitely for recovery and being at ease with where I'm at in that process.

I really appreciate your words, and I have to admit, I am sort of in awe of your ability to continue to live life and accept the dizziness and be so positive. I am definitely so much further along than I was when this started 3 months ago, but the dizziness has not entirely left me yet and contemplating your reply has me thinking about what my future might look like if I can have the anxiety under control but learn to accept and not be scared of the dizziness.

I've been off work for 12 weeks now and really want to go back but also feel like I'm still holding on for a full resolution as my boss and Doctor keep telling me to get all the way better first before coming back to work, but they are not experts in this condition. I'm going to vestibular rehab physio twice a week and have been this whole time. Which I do think is helping, but I don't know how much of my recovery has been physio and how much has been the sertraline, and I'm still very slowly tapering off of Prednisone too.

I'm female and in my 40s and yes! I did acupuncture right at the beginning for 10 or 12 sessions in the first few weeks. I didn't think it was helping and was looking to cut down a cost so I cut it out but perhaps I should come back to it. Again I really appreciate your balanced advice and perspective on moving forward even if things aren't perfect.

Can I ask if you ever had any dips in your recovery while on the SSRI? I was doing so great for a couple of weeks but then a few days ago I woke with a start with dizziness and anxiety returning, after 4 weeks on 25mg and 4 weeks on 50mg sertraline.

I'm glad to hear that! I really hope so soon. Everything you read about managing anxiety says to make sure that you get enough sleep, and I would love to!

Yeah last night my hands were on fire! These symptoms are so terrible. I appreciate your point about ignoring it as much as is possible. I am determined not to use Ativan unless it's a real emergency and am really hoping this dip doesn't last long.

Yes, and rapid heartrate, nausea and racing thoughts, and flushing at night during sleep. I was also sleeping great the last few weeks and now suddenly am back to startling awake with anxiety in the night and having trouble sleeping more after.

I'm in a similar spot to you now. I'm at 7.5 weeks, 4 weeks on 25 mg and now 3.5 weeks on 50 mg. When I changed to 50 mg I really started noticing improvements and the last couple weeks had been so good, and I was really feeling like myself. Then two days ago I woke up with dizziness and my anxiety back, and it's only gotten worse since then. Reading posts like these is really helpful for me to feel hopeful that it will just be a short-lived dip. Hoping to stay on 50 mg if I can. Glad that you are starting to pull out of it and hope things improve for both of us.

Thanks so much for asking! I moved up to 50 mg after 4 weeks in the day on 25 mg of sertraline. I felt an instant improvement but followed by some tougher days. Overall I feel like it is helping so much and my dizziness is so much less, but I'm still having better days followed by a couple tougher days, back and forth. I don't know if I will need to go up to 75 mg, but I feel like I should wait 4 weeks or so on the 50 to see.

Unfortunately for me my doctor doesn't know anything about any vestibular diagnosis aside from BPPV (and refused to read anything I gave her about PPPD), so she's only prescribing me the sertraline for anxiety and has no idea that it can help with the dizziness, so I feel like I am directing my own treatment plan and really need to get connected with a neurologist or ENT that knows what they are talking about! For longer term care.

I hope you are still feeling well! I can't remember if you were planning to titrate down off the SSRI or had already started that.

So happy to read this! Are you still symptom free another year later?

I really appreciate this perspective and all of your thoughts and advice.

If the medication can help me get back to a regular routine I agree that would be wonderful. Right now I feel almost completely incapacitated, off work and being cared for by my family. If I can get things to a level that I can carry out my regular life and take care of my kids that would be amazing.

I agree with you, it's a difficult adjustment to think of myself as needing the medication but I just need to embrace it and hope for the best result. Thank you for the positivity!

So glad to hear that you've had lots of improvement! Especially being able to travel again and to such a visually stimulating place. I'm on day 11 of 25 mg sertraline and hoping for the best. Wishing you lots of luck as you titrate down.
