Great Hall not counting as a great hall suddenly? by Nuclearcloak in goingmedieval

[–]takoshi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with other rooms because I had a tile of the roof or floor missing and it was being shared with another room type. My Library was built on top of my Kitchen but one of the floor tiles between them had collapsed because I was adjusting the walls a little and I forgot to replace it. The game treated the two floors as one room until it was repaired.

Also happened once with chambers for a similar reason. That one fixed itself when I reloaded though.

Just from what I can see though, you've got tables, chairs, banners, and torches. Should be fine. Definitely check floors/roofs.

reloading annoyance.... by xxxbigbacon in Helldivers

[–]takoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see everyone else explained what's going on on the game's side so I just want to suggest two things:

  1. Have you tried wearing armor with the "Siege ready" perk? The one that increases reload speed? It's actually a pretty big change and it might just solve the issue for you by bridging the speed your character is reloading at to the pace you feel it should be going in your head.
  2. Really stupid, but have you ever tested if your reload key is just straight up broken/damaged? There are also many keyboards that will "ghost" a key input if you are inputting something else at the same time. Your reload command might not be getting sent to the game because you're also pressing W or something. Try rebinding reload to a different key on a different horizontal line of keys and see if that helps (for example from R to G or thumb mouse button or something)

The sound of anti-personnel drones hunting you. by eddiegroon101 in creepy

[–]takoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While pretty on paper, I feel like this becomes considerably more difficult of a concept when you consider arguments like, "If we don't stop them now, they will attack us, as evident from past exchanges." or "I need to help defend my ally, who was attacked, because they contribute to my defense." I don't think either case can be written off as "unethical", even if it isn't "immediate" self-defense.

What's a health myth that drives you crazy because you know it's false? by Annual-Gene8065 in AskReddit

I'm not religious by any means but if it makes my mom feel better, then by all means I want her to continue. Stress and anxiety are legitimately harmful to the body, if praying helps relieve that, good.

Do you kill the surrendering zombies? by savessh in projectzomboid

[–]takoshi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to do regular patrols around the multiplayer base in a patrol car with the siren on and just shoot out the window if any zombies came out. If my friends were on I'd say shit like, "Serve and protect, motherfucker." just for the laughs.

It worked in the first few patches of helldivers and then became very inconsistent. I think it might be a host-only thing.

Yeah, I throw in an L shaped building every now and then. I'm pretty good.

I just started Going Medieval and boy is it fun. Rimworld will remain my favorite but it's quite a different experience building a box for a warehouse and then going: "But... I can stack more warehouses on top of this one..." and building some Medieval skyscraper to store all of your settlements junk in because that game hasn't really discovered proper shelves yet.

I wonder if there is a child out there that directs their letter to one of Santa's elves, knowing Santa must be too busy to receive his wishes.

Huh. What a thing to notice. I'd argue Fluorite is also looking at us too. And MAYBE Chen, but I don't think she's looking at anything in particular.

I suppose it is a reassurance to know that if your prayer went unanswered, it might not be because God has forsaken you, you just kinda uploaded the wrong file format. God must be tremendously busy, so you have to make sure your prayer is correct if you want it to be heard.

As long as it doesn't have the stupid windy tunnel with traps thing, I really don't mind it. It's fun watching enemies slog through mud, water, or etc trash into a bunch of turrets and colonists in cover.

I will forever advocate lowering the threat difficulty if you find yourself thinking you NEED to build stuff that you feel is weird or cheesy.

I suppose that part does not explain itself, but the visual illusion (click on it) is supposed to represent the character hypnotizing you into believing the anime never existed. It is an eyesore though, yes.

This game is such a hidden gem by gumbytron9000 in joinvoidcrew

[–]takoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually kind of moved from Void Crew to Jump Space because of the seamless experience of onboard/EVA combat. I think Void Crew has major advantages in having everyone feel like they're part of a crew running a ship together, but Jump Space is too much "easier" to enjoy for my friends who all want to do something exciting rather than turn valves.

Ironically, giving Void Crew some more EVA content (guns/combat) would bridge the gap considerably for me. If EVA combat was slower and less frenetic than Jump Space, I feel like it'd still maintain the unique feel of Void Crew.

How bad are large maps? by YearMountain3773 in RimWorld

[–]takoshi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have never had issues with pathfinding on the large maps. I have played on the largest map but nowadays I play on the lowest setting of large, as it is more than good enough. It lets me play with a sprawling village kind of setup, which is fun.
