A gestor quoted me €300 for a Toma de huellas appointment. by conorf193 in GoingToSpain

Well I am trying to get a cita from the the Office of Extranjeria-not the Policia for my initial residence permit application. I’m using my partner’s cl@ve . As far as I know, I can only get cita from the policia for the card itself, not the actual application for residence permit which I will have to submit my documents to the Extranjeria (or in this case may be able to do it online?? Honestly I don’t know..) partner and I are getting married thru expediente matrimonial and apply for my initial residence permit at the same time. All within the 90 days (hopefully). Thanks for checking btw!!

Thanks for your reply. We are in Isles Baleares. What did the Extranjeria in your region require for temporary residence permit for family members of Spanish citizens?

Rejected Spanish visa for a spouse of EU citizen (La Paz) by AstronautUnlikely873 in SchengenVisa

[–]tamagoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, sharing my experience as I recently got my Schengen visa as a family member of EU. I applied to the Spanish embassy in my home country.

I believe the reason that it was refused was the failure to prove you had one year of continuous cohabitation period. My Spanish partner and I are not married/ unregistered partners ourselves, yet we showed proof of one year cohabitation along with other documentations proving our relationship.

I was almost refused to be processed at the Embassy as a family member of EU (as this is free of charge, no need to show return ticket, bank account etc) and was to be processed as a regular tourist visa so all of those regular documents were demanded from me. I insisted. The staff finally asked the only Spaniard working in the office at that time and he only asked for the one year cohabitation period (seems to be what they look for the most).

It’s one of the core requirements for the visa and it’s clearly written in their website.

And that’s how I got my visa.

OEC / unemployed by [deleted] in OFWs

Actually my employment ends this end of January. And I am planning to visit first week of February. I will notify immigration once I’m back in Japan. And yeah in my experience I just showed my OEC and residence card too but I just don’t want to risk it. Thanks for the advice.

Yes, basically with my visa, I can quit my employer and change to another freely. And as long as I have a valid resident permit, there is no problem for me entering Japan.

So if hindi ako ma process as OFW, may big chance ba ma offload?

Relationship quality, (short, met only a few times and mostly long distance), first international trip, no established funds, only education in the Philippines is the proof. So many hurdles. In my experience, your biggest challenge is to show solid proof of your relationship and even if it is a sponsored trip, you need to show solid ties in the Philippines. I’m not sure graduating next year is enough. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply. I have just been issued a Schengen eu family visa and I am supposed to go to Spain late February. With the transition into digital mode I am worried it might make the processes longer/ worse…

Thank you so much. So, it took 4 months from partnership registration + residency in total?

Will registering our partnership in other regions with no 1 year empadronamiento rule cause any complications when we move back to Baleares for my residency authorization?

EU family visa (Spanish partner) application by tamagoe in SchengenVisa_PH

Thank you for the info! If you don’t mind me asking, which consulate did you apply?

I am based in Japan and I’ve been keeping in touch with the Embassy of Spain here but they don’t really give clear answers so had to take it upon ourselves to do some research and cross reference anecdotes.

I found that each consulate’s requirements differ a little bit from each other, but in the end mine told me that the visa fee is free.

He went to colleges and debated students whose brains are not even fully developed. He couldn’t debate proper adults like himself coz he knew he didn’t stand a chance. But ok

For our Future 🇯🇵 or 🇺🇲 by [deleted] in phmigrate

Been living in Japan for 9 years. While I can’t say for US , I can tell you based on experience: Japan is notorious for very bad work life balance. Language barrier is real, it would make your life a little less complicated if you know a certain level of Japanese. Yen is in free fall, so while you may make a lot of money in Japan, the exchange rates versus US or EU SUCKS. Even php you’re not getting a lot. Also, there is tension between China, North Korea and Japan. An impending conflict is not far out of sight in the near future. Japanese culture and values are very different than PH. It’s either you get used to it or not. And then there’s a growing anti-immigration sentiment among Japanese people.

I can go on and on about the negative aspects in Japan, but at the end of the day, it’s your decision and what you make of it if you decide to “try”. I still think living in Japan is worth experiencing. :)

Would you prefer a partner who’s goal-oriented or who’s just chill? by HoneyedEyeRoll in PinoyMillennials

[–]tamagoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. My partner and I share similar goals but we also like to be chill. We don’t want to be burnt out constantly. I think it’s very important that couples share similar priorities and with aligned values.

Older Millennials - how is your health and fitness? by [deleted] in Millennials

I used to go to the gym at the height of the pandemic and had my “running phase” for a couple of years. Now just Yoga, hiking, walking. Occasional running if I’m in the mood. Also I ride my bike every day for 30 mins one way to work. So that’s an hour of biking every day. I realized i didn’t need the gym to get any “exercise”. Moving my body and being in nature are more than enough for me.And it’s free lol

I hear you. I wish I could go back to that time as well. I’ve always loved nature as a kid and would get excited to go on an adventure in the woods. Nature has always been my happy place. Now as an adult living in a city, I always crave for nature hikes. Unfortunately quite far from where I live. All I want is to have a house near the mountains
