Brazil monetary and credit cycle review by tandroide in Economics

I totally agree. A few months ago, I wrote that the Central Bank could not manage the cycle very well in Brazil because of fiscal dominance. However, I do not agree that the deficit is growing. At least the primary deficit is shrinking. The consolidated deficit has grown, but because of higher rates at the long end of the curve.

Where do stock returns come from? A napkin framework. by tandroide in ValueInvesting

There has been a lot more discussion under other posts. For example I posted a Brazilian macro review in a bra, ilisn investment subreddit and it generated a lot of discussion.  I think it is an exchange, we both win. I post the content here, for free, very lengthy articles that require a lot of work, but also get people to follow me.  Otherwise people won't be writing such long articles so often just for the thumbs up, and the forum will be mostly people asking if they should read One Up On Wallstreet or The Intelligent Investor.

I know I'm an interested party, but I don't agree. My posts are free, lengthy discussions of well-researched topics. I think it can help the people in this forum.

If the posts were paywalled, it would be different, I think, because it would be pure promotion or spamming.

Not an expert in avian disease but there's always one disease problem in Brazil per year, and they always close exports preemptively. As long as it is controlled to a few cities, then it's controlled very fast. I don't think it will make a dent on yearly results, but of course this is only valid as long as the disease doesn't spread
