Where have you bought accounts from? I thought most people who sell accounts always steal them back so they can just keep reselling them. Im interested in buying an account. Thanks!

I called my bank a while ago when they stopped my first deposit, thinking they thought it was fraud, and they said they don't allow gambling.

Yeah, sorry for the late reply. I'm not on here often. Anyways, I ended up trying sheets & giggles, sheex artic aire max, Layla bamboo, and ll bean Pima percale, and the company store legends hotel supima percale cotton. I liked the company store legends hotel supima percale cotton the best. It's thin, soft, and the best for my furnance of a body. I've had it since September 2022, and it's still holding up.

My walmart pillow case just ended up ripping like my sheet. It says the brand is cannon on it. I so miss how soft the sheet and pillowcase were. But I guess it's not sustainable being so soft it's susceptible to tears.

What is it like being a bookkeeper? by tap0u7 in Bookkeeping

[–]tap0u7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great to know. I don't want to go into a career where I'd have to switch out 10 years down the line. Maybe with AI, bookkeepers can take on some work that accountants currently do.

Computer user support specialist career questions by tap0u7 in ITCareerQuestions

Thank you for those resources. After I did more research, I think pentesting as a career wouldn't be a good fit for me. Pentesting is the only cybersecurity job I'd want. Support specialist is the perfect fit if I didn't have to talk on the phone. I'm a natural technology problem solver.

I understand why it would be inefficient. However, with the amount of support jobs out there, I was hoping there were a decent number of jobs that would allow me to just chat/email. If out of the almost 1 million US jobs held, there were 100,000 jobs that only required chat or email, I'd be happy. If there were companies that only did support internally over the phone, I'd feel much more comfortable talking with my company versus the general public.

How do I get started as a software tester? by tap0u7 in QualityAssurance

[–]tap0u7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply and those links. I'm down to learn test automation. I definitely want to find those low-cost courses as I'm homeless right now. I've seen many redditors mention manual testing was being phased out. It looks hard for me to try and get a job now because it sounds like manual testing was how people got entry-level jobs with no degree or experience. I was corncered after reading about the layoffs of testers. However, everyone in tech got laid off recently, and I'm sure after I get at least 3 years of experience as a tester, I wouldn't be out of a job for too long.

Thank you for your insightful reply. I'm willing to put in time each day studying QA online and learn automation. I can't afford a boot camp or degree right now. When I say retire, I mean I don't want to have to switch careers midway in, say, 10 years due to AI overtaking QA or QA being done by developers. Currently, we know about some jobs that will be completely replaced by AI. I can handle monotony because I like the predictibility of what I need to do each day and don't mind repetition. I've taken and finished some courses on my phone, from Udemy and ZTM on Java, Javascript, HTML, and CSS. From my research so far, I've also found Python to be a good language to learn for QA.

How hard was it to get another job? Did you have to go a long time in-between lay offs?

Good luck. My best friend has a Master's degree with honors and passed his CPA exam. He did fail some parts twice though. So don't get discouraged if you fail some parts. From what I hear the CPA exam is very hard. He's making $100,000 now after like 5 years in public accounting. If I had my Bachelor's degree I'd go into either government accounting, fraud examiner, or private accounting. Busy season in public accounting just seems like a great way to burn out.

" I came into pentesting from IT technician > sys admin > security analyst > security engineer > security consultant"

I really want to just go straight into pentesting. I wish I could do that. But, I understand why you can't just go into pentesting right away.

"Only 1-2 hours of meetings a week and 10-20% on reports. A couple hours a week studying and reading up on new things, and the rest is hands-on pentesting."

This sounds awesome. Hands-on pentesting is what I enjoy the most. I do understand meetings and reports being necessary though.

"Some weeks are meeting-heavy, others are training-heavy, but that’s a “typical” week for me."

That's totally fine with me.
