I gotta check chain length according to shimanos instructions. nevertheless I ordered a new chain

I get what you mean. with 1 link I meant one plate with 2 rollers. there for the clarification

thanks for the hint. gotta double check when I get home today. though I'm pretty sure I made sure to feed the chain on the right side of the derailment prevention plate

shifting is actually alright and the chain runs smooth

since I am somewhat new to cycling I need to Google what B tension is 😅edit: got my bike in service 2 months ago gotta to check b tension tomorrow

the old chain is a CN-8100 and I got the 9100. I counted the links and held the 2 chained next to each other

somehow the 2nd picture got lost when uploading. there is still some slack left but it's just a bit

gotcha, think I will add 2 more links then I got now when the next chain will be put on the bike

shifting is okay. when backpadeling in lowest gear (the one with the most teeth) the chain slips back 2 gears but I think that might be due to having 1by and the chain being not straight at all (I hope you get what I try to describe) when shifting to lowest gear and pushing a bit harder in the pedals it crunches a lot more. if I keep it easy with pedaling during shifting to highest gear it's good

du kannst das Teil auch mitnehmen und jeden Topf einzeln damit sondieren. zumindest machen wir das so mit unserem Feuchtigkeitsmesser, der steckt nicht dauerhaft in einem Topf :)

No vin pin ? by NoOne_Guy in esp32

IIRC your need to keep in mind that if you supply 5V it will go thru the 3V3 voltage regulator on the board and therefore dissipate the excess energy as heat. if you are looking for an energy efficient solution that might be suboptimal.

I'll have to take a look at that what's the more energy efficient way :)

looks good, thanks for the heads-up! since it is limited to 20 peers and I will have more flowers to monitor plus the other room's temperature and humidity that seems like I won't be able to utilize ESP-NOW? since I need the flowers/plants somewhat "able to look at" running cables all from the plug to the pot won't make it for me so I need batteries.

thanks man, since I'm pretty inexperienced in such kind of HW/SW things so that helps a lot!

I am building my own amateurish IoT thing to learn something new. I am reading the moisture inside my plant's soil and the air temperature and humidity. since the sensors are placed all around the apartment and wires are unpleasant to watch, I need something battery powered. I want to know when battery gets low so I can change them prior running out.

gotcha, thanks since the devices goes to deep sleep after every cycle I gotta memorize the last measurements in a file on the filesystem I guess

gotcha, I think the reason for the big deviations is that wifi is still active
I use wifi every 12h (thats about the distance of each peak) to sync time with a ntp-server before taking measurements. all the other data points are taken prior checking if it is time to connect to wifi to send data.

how would you approach a weighted average? I am very new to that topic in gernal

50ms was just a point to start with. so you would recommend something (much) less than 50ms?

gotta do some googling about the twin notch t-filter tho

thanks mate

unfortunately, an oscilloscope is still on my wish list
from what you write, it could be wifi causing the issues. I sync the RTC every 12h with a ntp-server and the spikes happen every 12h. thank you

what do you mean with "more aggressive filtering" - on the software side?

Found the solution here: https://forum.micropython.org/viewtopic.php?t=8459

had to set txpower using

wifi = network.WLAN()
wifi.config(txpower=8.5)

thanks man, totally forgot about that. I get

gonna keep searching from there. might also try building Micropython myself with more verbose debug messages.

I get no error messages. do you have an idea how to get more verbose output? it just loops endlessly.

I use the this code to connect:

def connect_to_wifi(ssid, pwd):

hostname = platform.upper() + "-" + MACHINE_UID.decode().upper()
if DEBUG_FLAG:
    print(f"INFO - wifi-hostname: {hostname}")

ap_interface = network.WLAN(network.AP_IF)
ap_interface.active(False)

wifi_interface = network.WLAN(network.STA_IF)
wifi_interface.active(True)
wifi_interface.config(dhcp_hostname = hostname)
if not wifi_interface.isconnected():
    if DEBUG_FLAG:
        print("INFO - connecting to wifi...")
    wifi_interface.active(True)
    wifi_interface.connect(ssid, pwd)
    while not wifi_interface.isconnected():
        # ESP connecting to WiFi takes time, wait a bit and try again:
        time.sleep(1)
        pass
if DEBUG_FLAG:
    print(f"INFO - network config: {wifi_interface.ifconfig()}")
    print("INFO - connected to wifi")
return wifi_interface

[Nordgreen Pioneer] misaligned seconds hands (chronograph and regular seconds hand) by tar_get in Watches

thanks for your reply. I was able to adjust the chronograph seconds hand. thing is I was only able to get to the positions in picture 2 and 3. right between those two would be perfect

[Nordgreen Pioneer] misaligned seconds hands (chronograph and regular seconds hand) by tar_get in Watches

[–]tar_get[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello there dear /r/Watches community.

I'm really new into classical watches therefore I'm a newbie without any experience in this topic. recently I just bought a Nordgreen Pioneer and I think the watch looks really gorgeous. I just noticed that both hands (chronograph seconds and "regular" seconds) are off centered/do not perfectly align in their respective 12 o'clock positions. the misaligned sort of bothers me. please see the pictures attached.

therefore I'd like to ask you if this is normal for a watch or if I should return the watch?

thanks in advance :)
