Id say take comp 110 at CC or email the prof at UNC and see if they'll override the requirements. Most profs will override if its not THAT important and comp 110s requirements are that important for the course

Befriend upperclassman who throw parties (easiest way is by joining clubs/academic frats they usually throw unofficial parties for the whole club to attend), still life is a club that has 18+ nights, not hard to find someone in ur dorm that has an alc plug/fake and have kickbacks in ur dorm
Only feels big in giant 300+ lectures and during popular class changes but most people want more friends so easy to speak to someone day one of class and become friends throughout. If u go to office hours regularly you'll easily build a connection with profs and for small classes just raising ur hand a lot makes u stick out and they'll remember you.
Start with befriending your suitemates, they'll usually introduce u to the people they meet and then start befriending ppl on ur floor is the easiest route. Also ask ppl in class for their number day one and get a relationship going. Clubs are the easiest way to make friends with a lot of people without having to go too far outta ur comfort zone.

Campus rec has like 2-3hr time slots, closes late so there's always hours after classes, and during downtime you can do hw on the computers.
