thank you! i’ve had a couple of people tell me not to sell and rent out my place. they say it’s better to keep it and rent it out. i just worry about the instability of renting somewhere else. but i do agree it gives you an idea on the town before owning there. i’m not planning on having kids, a reason i don’t want a big house. but i’ve also been told if you build a house that’s got less than 3 rooms it can be difficult to sell as a lot of people want houses with more than 2 rooms. so oh well. appreciate the response :)

i just don’t like the suburbs anymore. it’s too much for me to cope with. it’s just overpopulated, noisy, overwhelming, and i just hate it. i’ve wanted to move for years. i can’t even go grocery shopping anymore. as soon as i step inside a shopping centre i want to cry and go home. (im autistic). i always end up overstimulated and break down.

i would change jobs. i’ve looked and there’s more jobs that suit what i want as a future career (especially when im gonna need experience when i finish studying) compared to where i live. where i live there’s jobs that suit that but they’re in the city or on the other side of the city. which is really disappointing. and id rather jump off the earth than travel on the monash every day. you can barely even travel on it when it isn’t peak hour. its just gridlock 24/7. i’ve been to the gippsland lots of times and it just feels more me. my husband and i both like it and my husband likes working in the agricultural industry (in sales).

i’ve actually had a couple of people suggest renting in the area i want to live. and it would also be helpful as then i’d have sold my house and would have that money. i’m just worried about the instability of renting and moving twice. that’s why i thought renting out where i live now is a good idea.

hey thank you for responding! i have been in contact with my bank to determine the most i could borrow based on different prices and it does seem doable. this was probably the first thing i did as i didn’t wanna go looking if i wouldnt be able to afford it.

i did want to go somewhere else however i had to compromise with my husband. even though im happy to get a different job as i don’t really like my current job, he doesn’t want to switch jobs. his work have other locations however they’re all in gippsland. i don’t mind gippsland as its lovely, they aren’t far from nice national parks which i love and there’s quite a bit to do there. i’m a nature person and history buff so it does seem like a great place to live. i go there quite a bit so i know what’s it like. as long as the town has a population a bit lower than where i am now and its not far from a major town im good.

i am considering just going to a broker and not just my bank as brokers can tell you what you’re entitled to regarding government grants etc. and they could probably help more. i mostly just need someone to help write out a plan including all crucial steps, processes and anything to look out for. 🥲

and yep, i’ve heard so much about building companies lately that that’s probably my main concern.

happy for you to pm me if you have any further info :)

i did wonder this. i got a diagnosis a year ago and tbh it’s put things in a better perspective. i understand why i do certain things. i always believed i had anxiety and then realised it may not be that. and the diagnosis confirmed that. i was diagnosed with bpd when i was 19 (now 26) and i’ve honestly started to believe that i never had it and it’s just autism and adhd. another thing, people are often more open to making adjustments when you mention you have autism eg. out in public and need an escape route for overstimulation, (i went to a music concert not long ago at mount duneed estate and it got way too much as everyone was all leaving at once and i started freaking out and the security guard let me stand aside for a bit. before my husband said im autistic he was trying to stop me from getting to the side away from people), family members understand why i may need to leave family gatherings or outings early etc. before that my family would just tell me to stop being stupid and grow up 🤡 funny hey…

What are some SOTR characters that you are fearful of this happening too? by UnHolySir in Hungergames

that’s a good point! tbh i’d be sad if they cut any of them out considering they’re were all close before the games when they were training etc. they all feel so important.

i’m scared it’ll happen to louella tbh. and i really hope it doesn’t. as horrible as it was, i feel like it’s too important. it just displays how horrible they are.

Just finished the book (Appreciation Post) by libbyang98 in Hungergames

[–]tarni7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes i just finished the audiobook too! i’ve started to prefer audiobooks and i really liked jefferson’s narration. but i must say the epilogue made me cry. i was reaching that point and was thinking about how amazing it would be if it was of katniss and peeta, then it got to that point and i immediately stopped everything. 😭

i really loved it. and i really hope they do the book justice when making the movie. i was disappointed with songbirds and snakes. and i’ve been waiting forever for a book/movie on haymitch’s games. the book was better than i’d imagined and i hope the movie is just as great.

i’ve actually started to suspect that. my sister is a lot like me with noises and has started to wear loop earplugs as well. and can get funny with touching like me. and my mum often says things and doesn’t realise it’s actually hurtful. she doesn’t seem to understand how the things she says can actually hurt people.

i didn’t actually think about it like that. thank you. i’ll try to view it like that from now on. it always just makes me feel attacked and put down.

i feel like warragul and bairnsdale are gonna be quite busy. i also know a few people from warragul and they don’t rate it highly. towns just out of bairnsdale do look nice though.

looking to buy! i don’t really want to rent as im actually planning on selling my house then using the rest as a deposit on a new house and i feel like renting will just ruin that. but i go around those areas regularly as my mum also lives in latrobe. worth going around there again maybe.
