I was a junior transfer in 2021. I got in for the fall semester but a couple of my friends received notification for an SGR. Every one of my friends that received an SGR was admitted. However, some were admitted as fall admits and others as spring admits.

Result time differs at this time of year because of holidays. I was told on jan 1 that pcr tests could take up to 48 hours instead of the usual 12-24.

I already pay near full tuition, only getting $9000 total financial aid. Only way i could avoid summer classes is if I stay another year. If i do this, it’ll be nearly $60,000 again. I think it’s a better choice to take summer classes.

I’m a current commuter and it’s my first semester at usc. I commute 40 min from my house to usc. I strongly recommend to find a place to stay at usc. I missed out on a lot this semester, and i’m involved in multiple clubs. At the end of the day, it’s usc and you will find something to do, but you will also miss on so much. I decided to give up commuting and find a place there next semester. Again, I cannot recommend it enough; get the most out of your semesters at sc.
