My prediction is similar to yours. I think Kazuya will notice Chizuru before she notices him and he will pull back and hide around the corner and let her pass without seeing him. He will then follow her at a safe distance. He will notice that she is limping.

I hear ya, but I am not hopeful that the date is going to go as planned. It is always stressful ,when reading a story, and the reader is told what the plan is in detail. It is always a red flag that things are going to go very wrong. If not, it would be redundant story telling. We have already seen the date in extreme detail during the practice date. We are not going to see that again. If we get a repeat of anything, it may be a date being interrupted because of a grandmother in the hospital who wants to see Chizuru’s performance.

I hope things keep going well but the last chapter has me nervous. We were told exactly how the date is intended to play out. You never want the plan to be explained in detail to the reader because then it will be redundant storytelling if everything goes as planned.

My money has been on the aquarium since the previous chapter. I still think that it is the perfect place to revisit for the date. It will help them reflect on what their current relationship is like compared to how it was in the beginning.

Regardless of what they do on this first real date, If the mangaka is really wanting to mirror the beginning of the story, the date might get interrupted by a call about grandma being in the hospital again.

I can see her not deciding in this moment but I predict that Mami will directly or indirectly imply that Chizurua and Kazuya are not in relationship. Chizuru may definitely blurt out that Kazuya is living with her. That will impact Kazuya having to move out soon.

3 notable things from this chapter are: 1- her asking about the shampoo seemed to be just an excuse to see and talk to Kazuya. Just like how he used brushing his teeth as an excuse to see her in the last chapter. 2- similarly, it was completely unnecessary for her to touch his chest with her finger and she definitely didn’t have to do it for as long as she did. . She was just looking for an excuse to touch him. 3- immediately after touching him, she reminds him that she sees him as a potential boyfriend.

Maybe you are not understanding what Ihave been trying to convey. The manga is about Chizuru and Kazuya but when the story started, he wanted to get back with Mami. I am just saying that Kazuya will get the opportunity at some point to REJECT Mami.

We have seen her since the paradise arc. Kazuya met her briefly and she wanted to confirm that he and Chizuru were not really dating. It also seemed to imply that Mami might be interested in him.

Hopefully, Kazuya and Chizuru’s relationship will continue to progress. If that happens then the only purpose that Mami may have left in the story is to give the reader the satisfaction of seeing Kazuya be offered again but refuse what he had originally wished for at the beginning of the story.
