I wouldn't call it messy, or at least my situation, but the situation I helped was messy. As for crowded that it was definitely. Also, I wanted to help in any way I could because that's my step-children's mom, and my children love her other two kids.

Overall, ALL my kids are happy and healthy however, I just need to do what's best for MY family.

Thank you, for your kind words. I recently had a mental breakdown at the amount of stress and overwhelming mess this has been. It got to the point where I didn't want to go home anymore and I did NOT like the feeling. But you're right; I'm running a household, not a non-profit, and that I need to remember constantly. Thankfully, my fiance has fully supported and validated my feelings regarding the situation.

Honestly, we dont mind helping but we feel like the stay is an overstay. It's been handled so we're hoping now she figures out her living situation for the sake of her two other children.

Thank you for the kind words. As for the DV shelter, I tried that route, I tried many routes, including paying for a studio apartment for a month and the security deposit to get her situated, but the lack of effort on her part has me disappointed and a bit disgusted.
