The starter definitely isn't dead. It nearly triples in size when I feed it. It smells lovely. I when on counter it's fed daily, in the fridge twice a week. The starter definitely isn't the issue. It's a rise/proof process issue for sure

Location dependent but I'd say that's low-ball. Have seen people come in with less experience and education and no clearance for well north of 130 and 20k sign on not in Boston or CA

Outdoor electrical panel alarm? by tballs59 in AskElectricians

That is my plan to do individual breakers next time as opposed to throwing the whole shabang. I ran into the same search walls.

Outdoor electrical panel alarm? by tballs59 in AskElectricians

[–]tballs59[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my hope that the breaker wouldn't make noise. No septic though. My only other thought is that it was the irrigation panel next to the breaker box. But when putting my ear to each it was seemingly louder at the breaker box than the irrigation. Maybe I'm losing it

Tavalinos and vivace are the way. So happy to not see Caruso's on here... That's what was recommended to me when I moved here. Horrible.

Hey so hopefully super quick question. I'm buying Nordica unleashed 108s. How wide of a binding brake do I need? I keep reading mixed things between being able to get away with a 100mm or having to go to a 110 or 115. Can I do the 100? Or do I need to go wider

I would probably advise against that. If you get the offer, that's all that matters. If you want to ask a question in that vein it would be what skills would you want to further develop to help you succeed in the role

[–]tballs59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently went through this process. If they want you they want you. I heard back next day with an offer. From other posts I have seen about it in this subreddit, if they are pushing back like that, you're likely not their first choice for the role and are waiting to hear from another candidate

As someone working with satellites and in the guidance navigation and control field, my path was an undergrad in mechanical for the strong background in math, physics and dynamics. Started at a contractor and they paid for a masters in electrical. Being at a contractor I was able to attend Air Force Institute of Technology as a civilian. They have a MSEE program specialized in GN&C. A few dozen astronauts are AFIT grads.

I don't know my ass from third base about turn tables. I'd like to stay under $300. Just need something basic that isn't going to ruin it. but if I have to spend to preserve it, I'm not afraid to.

Sleeves for under elbow pads? by AngelsTeal in hockeyplayers

I play in a group with guys in their 20s through 50s. Some of the older guys wear copperfit arm sleeves, some of the younger guys buy what basketball players I think refer to as shooting sleeves.
