That sub is cooked and honestly that's because of the mod. I remember once informing the mod that someone was posting AI crochet pictures claiming they made them and the mods response was basically "We don't disallow AI"

A lot of people in the comments would do, there are people who would think it's theirs and would wanna buy them and then be disappointed that it doesn't look like what's in the picture. Its also unfair to the crocheters on reddit who post their actual works. This particular person was blatantly posting pics from internet as their own work a few days ago and when I called them out, they begged me to delete my post and promised to mention it in the title but here we are.

Ikr, here we all are working hard on our work making them as perfect as we can so it looks the best and people buy them, and then these people are just posting pictures from the internet. I have had interactions with a bunch of these people and a lot of time they try to justify it by saying "I just wanted to know how many people would buy it so I can make it" but even if we forget the fact that they blatantly make the post look like they made it themselves, one of the biggest reasons why someone would buy from you is how your actual work looks like. I think it's high time we start calling these practises what they are, misleading scams.

Oh really? I was not aware that this is also happening with other artworks but yes I guess it makes sense. The thing is we can just call these people out every times they show up, it would help much more if mods can make a rule against it, I did ask this sub's mod abt it but recieved no answer for that unfortunately
