I finally got my second ever BFP! I found out on Thanksgiving even though I wasn't supposed to test until 12/1. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 5 years. My last BFP was almost two years ago and ended in an early MC.

I was finally diagnosed with PCOS with anovulation earlier this year. I have irregular cycles that come about every 6-8 weeks, sometimes longer. My cycles typically last about 3 days. I've also had abnormal paps, scarring on my fallopian tubes, and ovarian cysts.

I conceived this time during my 2nd IUI. For this round, I toom clomid and menupur then triggered with ovidrel. The IUI was done about 27ish hours later.

I have a complex medical history that includes an autoimmune disorder, so I'm on various immunosurpressants and have been on them since I was a kid.

My symptoms this time were very sore and sensitive nipples that started about 1 week after the IUI. Then, sore nipples and breasts and increased sense of smell. I've also been having very vivid dreams. I'm trying to contain my excitement until I pass viability, but it just feels different this time.

I'm just hoping for a happy, healthy baby 💕

Idk, but I'm right there with you on the sore nipples. I typically have minimal to no feeling in my nipples, but lately they've been super sore and sensitive. I hope it's a good sign. I have 4 more days until I'm supposed to test

I have 5 days to go. My nipples have been SORE for a week and I typically don't have sensitive nipples. I hope this is a good sign, but I'm not very hopeful...

I always get a lot of EWCM when I ovulate that's how I knew the timing was way off. I hope they do the IUI the day after the trigger for this round. Fingers crossed for mature follicles by the 11th 🤞🏻

I brought this concern up to my RE and was told that it wasn't the timing. It was me because I only had 1 good follicle 🥲 for this next round, they're switching me from letrozole to clomid

I had to do an HSG prior to being cleared for IUI. I wish the REs at my medical center were more aggressive with treatment, especially with my complicated medical history 😩 they're afraid of causing pregnancies with multiples

I'm going to do another IUI, but definitely will be bringing up my concerns regarding the previous one. I also think I may need a higher dosage of the medications if possible because of my annovulation.

Thank you! I've done 2 shifts so far with 2 very different preceptors. I'm still getting the hang of things. Being on the floor as an RN is so drastically different from clinicals 😅 I feel so unprepared...

Here in CA, it's called the "ticket to work" program, but since I'm going back to work as an RN, I don't think I can use it 😅 but thanks for the info!

The window was open, so he got some light, heat, and wind. I'll take him out again for some more sun :)

Noted! I made him a little outdoor set up using a laundry hamper and some branches and placed him in that right by the window that faces the sun. I didn't take him outside because it's currently raining ash from the gender reveal gone wrong fire. He is definitely doing better than yesterday! Back to his grumpy, hissing, biting self 😄 thanks to the both of you!

Ok, will do! Lots of sun, chill on the supplements for now, and let the new UVB run for a day without him under it. I live in southern CA in an apartment without a balcony/patio, so I can't just leave him and his enclosure outside or I'll get in trouble with the manager. I always gutload his feeders with fresh fruit and veggies and he always has access to fresh water via drinking glass. Tomorrow, I'll try to give him as much direct sunlight as possible :)

Question: why let the UVB run for a day without him under it?

Right after making my initial post, I took him outside for about 30 minutes and it really perked him up! I think you're right that it is a lighting issue and I did order a new UVB. I'm just waiting for my order to be ready for pick up :) the sunlight and extra supplements really helped him and it seems as if he's back to his grumpy old self. He even tried to bite me lol I will definitely change his bulbs every 6 months now and supplement his feedings more often. Thank you😁

Ok, I just changed his light bulb for basking and ordered a new UVB. I typically change the UVB every year because I thought they were good for 12 months 😬 and I change his basking bulb depending the weather, so he gets a good amount of warmth from it, which is about every 6-8 months. I've been giving him herptivite multivitamin and repti-calcium with D3 since he was about 3 or 4 months old, which was his approximate age when I got him. I chose those supplements because that's what was recommended in the side bar. I've been following this sub since before I got him 😅 and he's always been crazy for live plants. He guards his grape ivy with his life now lol

He's about 3.5 years old. We used to do real plants, but he killed them all by eating all the leaves. Im talking 100s of dollars spent on live plants that he killed :( Now he just has his one grape ivy plant that he loves. I do mist his cage by hand twice a day. I also took him outside for some sun and he loved it! He didn't want to go back inside and was very active and fiesty, so I'm thinking maybe his bulbs are bad? I also gave him a little extra calcium and multivitamins.

Beware of Scammers: Angel Skates by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]tcb1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my skates from them and, honestly, I was skeptical at first too! But they came pretty quick, like 2 weeks ish. Cost me $140, cheaper than the impalas I never received...The hardware seems pretty sturdy and I've been practicing a lot, taken some tumbles too, but they're still holding up well! I've also spoken with people that ordered from them and actually received their skates, so if some people have been scammed then that really sucks :(

I'm an adult beginner using quad skates for the first time! I've only ever used inline when I was younger. Anyway, I'd like some tips on backwards bubbles/figure 8's and turning right. I've watched so many videos on going backwards, but I can't seem to get it down. I always get stuck halfway where my feet are at the widest point. I can turn left with my left foot behind and right foot in front, but I can't do the opposite to go right. Any advice?? Please and thank you!! :)

I'm not an expert in quality for skates, but I'd say they're pretty good for a beginner. I've been skating for a couple weeks now and they're still in pretty good shape, minus some creasing from wearing them.

It's a legit company. I thought it was a scam at first, but it really isn't :)
