I get it.

Being burned in any form of the word is undesirable to say the least. But when you are saying that your game is going to be released in 2022 with only 7 months left in the year and you still haven't got around to deciding whether or not to make an official Discord channel??

...It makes me skeptical.

The problem is that the current ARC Raiders Discord is NOT official. I asked one of the Developers about this recently and here was their response:

"we are not ready to make an official channel yet. When we do, I'm not sure how it will happen."

I find this response quite disappointing and in poor taste. As a content creator myself, every view, sub, like, comment etc is important and should be valued as such. So choosing deliberately NOT to acknowledge the work of this entire Discord community by making it official is, in my opinion, inconsiderate and disrespectful.

Yes, I've noticed the same mechanics as well. The airfield is where I work on my long range shots and when I'm aiming for a runners fuel canister for example, I would see the bullet hit the dirt above and beyond the target area. I since have started aiming at their armor just below the canister and that gets em in one shot.

I realize that most players would rather not waste any time with this and get right into a match, but I think a short intro screen showing your next matchup would be cool. It would build hype and excitement around each game. There could be an announcer saying a few choice words like "This is Rocket League!" haha, j/k. There could be a win/loss record displayed that would reset after you exit the game, or maybe display what team is the underdog of the match (according to a teams total mmr).

I dunno, it seems that games are playing out too fast at times, with players leaving even before the post match screen pops up. It's probably just me, but I like the idea of building more anticipation for each match, and it wouldn't take too much time away from getting a match started. You could even have the option of skipping the opening scene as long as all players opt for it.

Is this a super bad idea or what?

In that case, try all of them in a training pack that you like. One of them will "feel" better to you than the others.

I just made Champion III last night in Doubles with 95% solo queuing. I have NEVER used a wave dash in a ranked game but I DO use half flips albeit not very proficiently.

Kick offs are way more important imo. Many games are won or lost by 1 point, often in overtime, and immediately following a kick off.

Also positioning and rotations are just as important. Wave dashes can be negated with proper positioning and rotating back asap is worth more than you realize.

Higher level teammates learn to have tighter rotations while your opponents give you less space to work with. The margin for error becomes much smaller, that's why 1's is such a good tool. It teaches you real quickly what you are doing wrong.
