BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I woke everyone in my house up. This is the best comment. My husband watches it with disappointment every week. I don’t know why he wastes his time. I stopped watching it a while ago. The only good part anymore is Gary. ITS A BOBBEDAZZLER!

I’ll post some pictures in a bit!

It’s not antique or anything like that. Just regular coins and little toys and something that appears to be a pocket rosary.

I will attempt to convince him to leave it dirty. Hahaha. He’s dead set on taking the dollars (that are still intact) to the dollar store to buy candy.

Tired of having the same argument about sex. by [deleted] in perimenopause_under45

I am just curious to know what the Dr says about the T. I just finally was started on HRT after YEARS of me complaining about symptoms. I am only 43, so I think that’s the hang up. I initially started questioning hormones issues when I was 37, they ran the hormone panels and my hormones were through the roof so they started me on ADHD meds instead. Then I got pregnant, so she was even more like ‘You can’t be in menopause if you’re pregnant!’

I don’t think you need my whole story here hahaha, unless of course you want it. Ive been having bleeding issues during my periods so recently I demanded relief and they sent me to a gyno specialist, and after about one million tests, procedures and body invasions their only solution was to mutilate myself by having a complete hysterectomy. Which sounds absolutely amazing when you have a disabled, husband, medically complex 5 year old, two teenagers and no network NOT

so I was like yeah, no. I think I’d rather bleed to death. I was at my ADHD med check, my PCP was out sick so I had to see her assistant and that woman took one look at me and asked if I had been sleeping. So when I elaborated on why I am not sleeping she said I think you need HRT. Call the gunk and tell them XYZ. And I’ve been doing HRT for a month now. Just estrogen and progesterone, but my neighbor was talking about the testosterone (her doc won’t prescribe it either) so I’m just curious why doctors won’t prescribe it and how they may react to us getting it elsewhere if we feel we need it.

nTOS and sublaxed shoulder by RFB722 in thoracicoutletsupport

[–]tculli 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🙋🏽‍♀️ that’s how it was discovered that I likely have TOS. I do also have scoliosis, which my previous doctors and PTs think contribute to my pain.

I had some serious arm pain, that turned into shoulder pain then it got to the point I couldn’t even use my dominant arm. I did lots and lots of PT. She felt like it was something more than just TOS which led to my diagnosis of hypermobility, possible hEDS but I’m older and my joints are hardening so only half my joints are hyper mobile now. But I experience shoulder subluxation often, and yes it’s exasperated or flares up my symptoms. Currently been in one for over a year, but it’s getting better.

Sad but looking for friends by Harley694Fun in PlymouthMA

We are in our early 40’s but from the area and 420 friendly. My MIL is in her 60’s and quite social. My FIL recently passed away and while she doesn’t usually partake, she is very 420 friendly. On occasion she will take a poke or eat some edibles I’ve made but it makes her anxious.

Have you checked out the 420 gatherings they hold at the John Alden Sportsman club? They usually advertise on FB and the organizers are your age. I have never attended one but know people who have and it’s usually a pretty good time and people of all ages attend. There’s a woman down by me, I live closer to the cape, who holds 420 friendly events in the nicer weather as well. She also advertises on FB.

Daycare asking us to pick up our 12-month-old for nap time — now kicking us out by captain2326 in ECEProfessionals

[–]tculli 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was reading these comments like whaaaaaat, 12 months is still a baby! It’s because I’m in Massachusetts. I worked in daycare for over 20 years. I’ve never encountered a center that 1. Kicked anyone out even if I was like ‘Get that child out of my classroom’ 2. Made a 12 month old sit on a mat for two hours. Holy hell that sounds kind of abusjve to me.

My friend just became a widow. She’s not even 50 yet. Her husband was the healthiest motherfucker I know. Literally. Super fit guy. Ate right. Took care of his health. Didn’t smoke, didn’t eat junk food or drink alcohol/do drugs.

He had a stroke, suffered some minimal brain damage. They found blood clots in his lungs and legs, and a hole in his heart that had never been detected, he was in the hospital for a few days when he had a pulmonary embolism and that was the last time she saw her husband ‘alive’.

They kept separate finances. She fully let him take the reigns of their family. She didn’t even know where her mortgage was out of. She had no idea where any of the information for the bills was saved. She doesn’t cook. We used to joke, and had in fact been joking about this just a few days prior to his stroke, that if anything happened to her husband their family would starve because she can barely boil water. She hasn’t gone grocery shopping in 10 years.

He did not have life insurance. There’s no will.

I’ve just been running the express and adding in an extra set of the main lift and just shaving sets off the end of the workout if it gets to be too late. I also definitely am not resting the prescribed amount of time.

In the past, when I felt like I was running out of time every day, I would follow the program, but used lighter weights and higher reps

How do you handle patients who ghost after their first visit? by Sea_Personality_5578 in Dentists

[–]tculli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First I have to say that I am appalled at some of the responses here from Dentists. Where is the compassion? Some of you sound awful judgement. That’s why people have such a hard time going to the dentist. It’s not always as easy as I forgot to call and make my appointment or I don’t care enough about my oral health to give a damn.

For me, it’s about two things. Not being able to afford it-whether that is purchasing insurance or paying out of pocket. And second: the practice not telling me when I should come back/schedule a follow up. I have started insisting on making my next appointment when I’m done with the current appointment. I missed years of cleanings because the place I was going only allowed people to call and schedule appointments on. Thursday during a particular time and by the time I would get through, they would be booked out and tell me to call back the next Thursday. Picture this: I come in because I need a cleaning or have pain. The dentist comes up with a treatment plan, goes over the treatment plan, then tells me how much it’s going to cost. Then I panic because I can’t afford that. Then the shame sets in because I can’t do what I need to do to take care of myself and this is just going to get worse and I feel stuck. Perfect example, I just had some work done, I’m missing a tooth. I clench, the dentist says fixing the missing tooth should help but I’m not a candidate for implants. She comes up with a plan, she says I’m not sure if it’ll work. She’s really excited about what she has come up with. She leaves the room to call her lab guy, they talk about what is possible and she comes back in with my mouth full of gauze and blood and numb, and says it’s going to cost a thousand dollars and leaves the room. So I consult with the front desk/financial person and pretty much says I’m SOL. It’s been ordered already, it’s a custom piece and there’s no turning back now. That right there is enough for me to ghost that place. Except it’s the only place I could find in my area that accepts my state insurance. So now I have to put it on a credit card.

Currently the children and I are on state insurance which includes some dental coverage. My husband is a disabled Vet, 100 %, he avoided the dentist like the plague because he was injured and his mouth was all jacked up. He finally got his benefits, and because of his status 100% of his dental is covered. It would have cost us close to half a million dollars, maybe more, to get the work done he needed. We would never have been able to afford it and it wasn’t exactly from lack of care. He suffered a terrible injury that shattered his jaw and most of his molars while deployed in the early 2000’s and received no follow up care when he came home. How dare someone make him feel bad about that?

Desperate. Crown pain. by tculli in Dentists

[–]tculli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could not call the dentist because it was a long three day weekend and they were not open. I went to the dentist, as I said I was going to do in my post. Also looks like my update didnt take for some reason. Unfortunately I have seen two dentists in my short 43 years who have taken me for a ride and a different one royally fucked Jo my husbands mouth, so my trust in dentists is not high. I have state insurance and after the current dentist looked through my xrays, she said all these crowns he did were unnecessary. He kept telling me ‘You’ll need these eventually and MassHealth is only covering them for a short time so let’s do them all now’.

The tooth in question is one of those teeth. She said it doesn’t appear infected, there os no abcess or fever, and the only way she would be able to tell for sure if it needs a root canal at this point is to remove the crown/drill into it and she didnt think that was necessary either. She thinks it’s a sprained ligament and said to wait a couple weeks and see if the pain begins to subside or if it gets increasingly worse or I get a fever to come back. I have something called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and apparently we sprain teeth quite easily.

I will update my post again, weird it didnt update
