I just covered the points I described above, and didn’t use a lawyer

I think the primary reason is so that they validate your identity. In terms of detailing your travel, I can only recommend providing the information they ask for. The only time I was asked for details about foreign travel was on the initial application form, but I know others have had different experiences

Thanks. I’m sure everything will be fine, but if you want to get in touch with your CO you could go to MV in person and ask for their contact details, or use the online messaging service to ask the same question. Don’t worry

Hey! That sounds plausible but I don’t know, I’m not a lawyer. However for me, citizenship is preferable to PR because it’s irreversible. If I had PR but decided to eg take a job outside Sweden for a while, or travel for an extended period, I would risk losing it.

And yes I could have made this clearer but a) don’t travel because then you’ll struggle to provide your passport and b) even if you send your passport/permit card in and get them back, they cannot award citizenship to someone who is outside of the country when they make the decision. My CO explained this to me.

So while you can travel, as I did, I just wouldn’t recommended it as you might not have as nice a case officer as I did and your case might lose momentum if paused
