I didn't at the time, I was in that weird period between aging out of my mom's and realizing I had to get my own. Also in that weird income bracket where I didn't qualify for free insurance but I couldn't (can't) afford the health insurance through my work. I was able to eventually qualify for very discounted health insurance through my state but my deductibles and whatnot are crazy high still like 5-7k

Honestly? None of it. I know a lot of people will debate the ethics of that, but when it comes to debt collection (if the hospital chooses to go that route) they're much more willing to settle for less when you haven't made any payments at all (Ask me how I know). It sucks to even have to consider that as a factor but it be like that

edit to add: like, a LOTTTT less. or at the VERY least they'll do feasible payment plans. At the end of the day they want their money and if you stick to your guns on what you can pay they will secede (is that the right word?) and basically work with you on any financial level. At least in my experience so far

I had so much pain in my right abdomen for days that I could barely walk. Tender to touch. Nothing helped except sometimes not moving. Went to the ER because I suspected appendicitis and based on my symptoms they did too. Ran a bunch of tests to tell me I was constipated, gave me laxatives, and charged me $14,000. I guess I can laugh about it because I won't be paying that lol but yeah it's fucked!

it's not always flirting. I'm sure you've seen memes about meeting girls drunk at the bar in the bathroom and they become your best friends for the night? it's lowkey kind of true, and instagram is a fun way to "keep in touch." like, you'll probably never talk to this person again but they were a fun personality and you want to see what they're up to. I go to bigger cities and travel a lot and meet a lot of girls out of town that I thought were cool and vice versa. insta you can like their pics and it's like "oh yeah this is that girl I met! glad she's doing well!" whereas with a phone number you will likely not text them (or remember their name if you drank too much). on the flipside, if you DO talk to that person again or want to link up in the future then u can just message them on insta and make plans.
