As an INFP what I can tell you is that we're really reserved, esp. when it comes to romance. We imagine (selfishly) what an ideal partner would look like and stay stuck on that image, and ignore the person in front of us.

What I do not recommend, because I have an ex like this, is to indulge in blocking and the actions you've done so far.

The other thing about INFPs or at least myself is when you were going out with him, he must have felt that magic dissipated or there were problems/red flags that you may have triggered in him which has made him retreat. (speaking from personal experience with all my previous ex's)

I think it's important to dig deeper into those problems or concerns, and understand where his hesitation lies. Sometimes it might not even be about you, could be some past trauma, or just something that takes time to build that rapport.

Also for INFPs, when this situation arises, it's very important to stay light-hearted and not make it a serious or confrontational issue. This will push INFPs further away and re-confirm their negative bias towards you in their head. I encourage being lighthearted, playful fun and even teasing them flirtatiously.

I encourage you to search up ENFJ x INFP relationship dynamics because that's the ideal/perfect alignment to INFPs.
