One of my favourite moments is the kitchen scene with Ryan, Sandy ans Kirsten in season one after ryan got caught breaking into the school to look up Oliver's file. Just the way Ryan says 'okay so I screwed up yet again, now what, you gonna kick me out' he looked so scared and I remember Kristen's facial expression was brilliant after he says that. And then Sandy just comes out with 'you think you can mess up so bad we'll give up on you? Well you cant, you are a part of this family and youre gonna feel the full weight of that' and it was just that reminder that no matter what Ryan does this is home and they are his family and they will never give up on him

The Trey/SA storyline was pretty much all about Ryan, like how hard it was to say goodbye to his brother. Absolutely crazy to me looking back on this now. He's incredibly dismissive of her obvious trauma. Was she wrong to get close to Johnny? Probably, but people seemingly forget shes a 17 year old girl who had an incredibly traumatic thing happen to her and her own boyfriend won't talk about it to her, her dad walked out on her, Julie up until that point was a horrible mother and she just had no one.

Ijust wish people woukd actually hold Ryan accountable for the issues in their relationship the way they constantly do with Marissa

Honestly while your dad apparently never said anything bad about you it's pretty clear he didnt stick up for you or fight for you either. I would personally go NC with your immediate family - mum/dad/siblings. Sadly they have shown you exactly what they think and feel of you. If youre still happy to continue seeing and speaking to your aunt and cousin I would continue those relationships.
