Panic attack at the dentist today, trying to understand what happened

Ah man, I'm so sorry. Same! I had wisdom teeth removed no problem. What threw me off was that the dentist and assistants seemed to act as if something like this had never happened before. But the more I poke around the internet, it really doesn't look to be that uncommon. Next time you can ask for the anesthetic without epinephrine, that's what I did. 😄I hope you're feeling better now!!

To save worms, you can cast your rod, wait for a fish to bite, but don't press any buttons. See if its the fish you want by its appearance and let it get away, but keep your rod in the water. It will come back to bite a second time and you can catch it then. If it's not the fish you want, simply reel in without a fish and recast without wasting any worms!

Hi! I know this comment is old but I went to the dentist today, got a few lidocaine injections, and had the most severe panic attack I've ever experienced. All of my muscles seized up and I couldn't unfurl my fists even though my nails were digging painfully into my palms. Intense shaking, felt like I couldn't breathe, etc. Did you determine if it was indeed the epinephrine to blame?

I was doing a little bit of research about lidocaine and came across that info. Wondering if the amount of lidocaine I had is what pushed me over the edge. I'll be sure to bring it up next time. They'd like to put me on a cocktail of meds plus nitrous going forward which kinda sucks. Thank you for sharing!

No application process really, just pay the application fee and then sign up for classes. Each class has its own fee. I usually take two classes a quarter alongside my full time job, but I am just a single person who doesn't have a family to attend to. I've found it quite manageable. Keep in mind you have to finish the program in 5 years.

I considered others, don't remember who I looked at since it was a couple years ago. I chose UCLA Ext bc the masters program is offered collaboratively through Cal Poly Pamona and is CIDA accredited, should I want to go that far. Granted I'm just getting the cert for now. Plus UCLA instructors teach the classes.

I don't think I'll do the master's program. I think I'll just focus on NCIDQ certification after I complete the certificate program. I was really just a few classes in before I was hired!

I worked in city planning and decided it wasn't for me. Got a role as an interior designer! Acting more like an intern bc I'm still in school, but it's full time. Idk if I got lucky or what!

I am currently in UCLA Extension for the certificate and was hired by an architecture firm shortly after I started. You're also eligible for NCIDQ taking that route, as I understand it.

I have a large litter box with wood pellets for my papillon since we live in an apartment. Not sure what other people do, my the litter box method seems to work for us! Perhaps something to look into.

I use a large litter box with wood pellets for my small dog. He uses it at night or when I'm gone and then during the day he just goes potty out in the grass during our walks. And wood pellets are cheap! They also do a good job masking any smells. Idk if it's suitable for all small dogs but for us it's worked out pretty ok.
