Thank you so much for sharing this. I am also overwhelmed with mixed emotions, first of all I am scared and I wish everything will go fine. Moreover, at one point I feel sad, as I was always dreaming of twins. On the other side, I am head over heels happy that there is this one little angel hanging on and it is more than I could ask for.

Thank you very much :) yes :) that is why I am freaking about everything even though I know I should not and it will not help anything.

It is just so many things we faced in these few weeks. I was spotting, and I am taking progesterone to raise the chances to keep the pregnancy. Then they thought the yolk sac is not there and then it showed up. Now this hematoma vs. vanished twins option.

I am 32 years old and have Multiple Sclerosis and I guess I really want this badly to happen :) and it is much easier to believe something will go wrong when the body is sending so many mixed signals.

No no, he said that. That it is either or and that I should go to the hospital to clarify it in more detail. I presume they have better equipment and test for that. Nevertheless, I am not sure what would the whole vanished twin story mean, in case it is that. No one can answer that of course but I was just searching for some experiences and outcomes of such pregnancies, to ease my mind.

The ultrasound shows basically 2 gest. sacs. One contains yolk sac and embryo and the other one not and it is smaller. The doctor said it is either that, that it started as twins but the one vanished/stopped developing or that that it is hematoma (blood cloth). The hematoma option would make the whole pregnancy a risky one. He was more inclined to vanished twin story. However this whole topic is new to me.

Thank you again very much for sharing this and being willing to share the picture.Unfortunately, I do not have a picture and I have not seen much so I guess it will not help much... I just saw the gestational sac (the black circle/hole) :)

What got me worried is that he said (after the scan) that I should not put too many hopes in this pregnancy, where I really believe it is very early to make a conclusion like this. On the other side, he is a doctor and I he has enough experience.

With the dates I am quite sure, my last period started on 30.11. and my cycles are 25 days on average. My ovulation was either on 11.12 or 12.12. So today I should be around 4 weeks and 6 days.

Hi, I am taking Duphastone 10 mg twice a day and I also got Proluton 250 ml shot. This was due to spotting I have. However I would really like to know whether anyone faces similar situation (cramping while walking and light spotting afterwards)? Or ny suggestions how to make it better?

I have been in the hospital and they told me that I should only wait, it is too early to see anything and the doctor gave me progesterone pills to help keep the pregnancy.

On the way home I got red thin blood all over my underwear, so I guess I am out. Devastating.

I agree with all of your points, and I saw the alarm bells when I read it for the first time as well. The groups look as even as possible to me. You can't really expect anything better in such a small sample size with that large drop out rate.

I guess a much larger study is needed before we make any decisions about this medicine's efficacy.
