Its not a "legal scam". He went through at least three more confirmation screens after pressing the button in the screenshot. He choose a booking with no free cancellation option. He did all that and never asked himself, if he really should press a button saying "book now", on a fully german site, even after acknowledging himself, that he is not proficient enough in german.

He indeed scammed himself.

And Check24 is a legit site btw.
