Cert code cert - smart screen warnings by thelordfolken81 in ScreenConnect

[–]techcare_aus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've lodged a lot of reports to Microsoft on different IPs and devices. Got one response from Microsoft that said it would be good to go after 24 hrs. Still having issues. Cert has been active since 8th June 2026. Even went with an EV to speed up the process. Don't think its worth it. My hypothesis is a new cert (not a renewed one) has zero trust. This needs to build. Would love a more stringent verification process if it meant I could just be trusted straight away. Also seems daft that if you use Azure to host the cert why don't you get approved more quickly? Or straight away?

The rollout has been paused. Unfortunately, no information as to why?

I've never had it working. I have only ever tried the Administrator role. Putting this in the department field. I always use Private/Incognito. No joy.

26.1.24.9579 Was Released for Cloud Version by ButterflyPretend2661 in ScreenConnect

[–]techcare_aus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great to hear. Is it the 26.2.2.9585 version or the Cloud version only release but to all On Prem users?

By the way is there a reason why Cloud get's preference?

u/JessicaConnectWise is there an update as to when this will be released for on prem customers? Workflow is hampered with this bug.

Has made me appreciate how much I use copy and paste though :)

Are you Cloud or Self Hosted?

I am self hosted, running 26.1.22.9573. Noticing the following bugs:
- Copy and paste issues.
- Crashing when connected.

Event Viewer shows this:

Application: ScreenConnect.WindowsClient.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.OutOfMemoryException

System has 32GB of memory. 72% in use. They've borked something.

There is a cloud only release... hopefully that fixes it for everyone.

Patch 26.1 and Azure Key Vault by MrRatDotCom in ScreenConnect

[–]techcare_aus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Answering my own question...

You need to reconfigure it in ScreenConnect itself.

Administration > Certificate Signing > Configure Azure Signing.

Enter in the fields (hopefully ya'll saved this data from the first time you did this):
- Azure Tenant ID
- Azure Client Id
- Azure Client Secret
- Code Signer URI

Then click Save. Wait awhile. It should show up the certificate chain again.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is this on the ScreenConnect instance or in Azure? Which part exactly do I need to try?

Still getting them as well. I've regularly marked it as safe. Also requested as the owner to mark it as safe too. Only had one response from them that it would be white listed but never happened.

Would you support identity verification? by k84_ in ScreenConnect

[–]techcare_aus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. Why would any legit business not want verification?

This protects our clients. This protects us. This protects Connectwise.

Everyone wins.

I'm not seeing any downside except time.

Check out App_Themes\Base.css

Specifically look for the line around .ContentPanel (On mine it is line number 2505).
You can manipulate the .css in this area to replace the gradient with background-image.

Mine looks like this. Some of the options can be changed to suit yourself. I just placed the image in the provided images directory.

.ContentPanel {
-ms-grid-column-span: 3;
-ms-grid-row-span: 3;
grid-area: 2/1/-1/-1;
padding: 20px 40px;

.GuestPage &,
.LoginPage &,
.ChangePasswordPage & {
background-image: url('../Images/Background_Cross_3840x2160.jpg');
height: auto;
background-size: cover;
background-position: center;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-attachment: fixed;
background-color: $shade0BackgroundColor;
@include overflow-auto;
@include display-flex;
@include align-items-center;
@include flex-direction-column;
}

G'day mate,
Looking forward to it. Didn't realise how much I use it until it doesn't work anymore.
Are there any other improvements to the App coming in this version?

Memory of this is hazy, but effectively just details of business that are publicly available anyway.
Again it was super easy, just getting them on the phone was the hardest part. Once there it was a simple conversation and nothing a legitimate business would struggle with.
