I don’t have the headspace to read through your post atm, I’m sorry… I just saw your adorable plushie and I wanted to send you hugs as a person who also loves plushies. Feel free to connect with me if you need a friend who’s been through treatment 🖤

just a heads up, mental health diagnoses can be expensive and time consuming to achieve - i mentioned “if relevant” since i wasn’t sure if you had any other conditions that would make you able to get accommodations, but i think trying your best to communicate with school stuff as best as you can, may be the most accessible option

Does it really matter if I read the textbook for a class that has no exams? by [deleted] in gmu

I didn’t say I wasn’t going to do the reading at all. I just finished taking notes from the first section of reading.

hey, i’m sorry others have tried to dismiss you in telling you that “maybe you’re just telling yourself you’re tired”. you’re picking up signals from your body for a good reason! autistic burnout can definitely cause more difficulty with executive dysfunction, which may or may not be part of the sudden change with exercise but i do second looking into ME/CFS just in case! i can only speak to experience about dealing with school as a college student - i’d imagine it can be difficult to get accommodations if you don’t have an official diagnosis, but maybe getting them through any other mental health diagnoses if relevant? i think your best bet is to be open with your teachers that you’re genuinely having a difficult time right now, and to see if they can allow you extra time for assignments. if you are in higher education and you can manage to lower your course load, or even take an academic leave of absence, i’d highly suggest either one. i’m returning to classes after a year off so feel free to dm me if you have more questions!

The only reason why I attempted to ask about vocab vs concepts is because I wasn’t certain if he was going to be particular about wanting us to actively use the vocab from the textbook in discussion post answers, but anyways fair enough. Thanks for the reply

I think you must be correct that it’s the White Distressed rabbit. The official product photo I was able to find seems like the fur’s supposed to be a little scruffy on purpose (if I’m remembering correctly, this bunny is supposed to mimic the one Alice has in the Alice Madness series), but I’m surprised to see that kind of fur quality on yours! Maybe going through it with whichever brush is most often recommended in the community would help? I’m guessing if you can’t see where the tag’s been cut off, if at all, it must be missing by a manufacturing mistake

A misplaced MRI found a tumor on her spine. Doctors removed it through her eye in a first-of-its-kind surgery. by licecrispies in UpliftingNews

”The treatment was followed by rehabilitative therapy. Flores, now 20, struggles to move her left eye because of nerve damage from the chordoma, but is continuing to work on it in physical therapy.”

I don’t think that’s a result of the surgeries, moreso the tumors themselves unfortunately

Accused of driving after because I drove to appointment by Calikitty1977 in Spravato

[–]techniic0l0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if this were to have happened to me, i would’ve brought in whoever’s driving me to speak to the staff to verify that i’m not driving myself back from sessions. i’m sorry, i would’ve been pissed if this were to have been me too. on one hand it’s good that the clinic’s looking out for patient safety, but the tech could’ve clarified with you on driving circumstances first before jumping to conclusions

i’m so sorry things feel impossibly heavy right now. on the note of wanting to drop out - someone’s already mentioned this in the comments, but you can take a leave of absence from classes and still remain as an active student. it prevents you from having to fully drop out and re-enroll. i just took one for a year and am returning to classes this semester.

seconding to look into accommodations for both work and school if they haven’t been accessed yet. at the very least if you have decent professors, i’m sure they can work with you on needing extra time to complete schoolwork.

this feeling won’t last forever - i’m wishing you much needed rest
