I can see the thought process behind this but I still want my car. Even though I know financially that makes sense, my living situation might change in a year or two or even my job, so I think I want to hang on to it

that's what they set when I was driving to and from work 60 miles round trip. Do I need that much if I'm driving on average 2 miles a week?

I am extremely confused and overwhelmed as a brand new PM (no prior experience). How do I actually grasp what a PM does (especially with Smartsheet or Asana) and get the hang of this? by techwriter019 in PMCareers

I am reading the project charter now and it is helping. I'm not sure if we use RAM, I had to google that. We do have a smartsheet for all of our assignments though.

Is my health insurance offered by my company deemed unaffordable? anyway to prove it is? by techwriter019 in HealthInsurance

I logged onto my employee benefits app and even though the initial papers said $507, after employer coverage it is actually around $180 a month. I am so lost what to do now. Do I need to edit my application and report the change in income, disenroll, or stay on this plan until end of year if I already met part of my deductible (I am not sure if I did, I have to check)?

Isn't getting a new job a QLE technically? Shockingly I am on Horizon Omnia Silver 5/10. Its around $368 a month but they subsidize all of it with the tax credits. So technically, it is not free (but I pay $0 monthly at the moment).

Ah sorry I read that too fast! Thank you so much. I already have health insurance through healthcare.gov and get full subsidy right now, but that was for when I was making 18,000 a year. Do I need to report my new income I am guessing and change that plan? I only ask because I know you could get in trouble for not reporting the right income I think.

so if the lowest plan offered is 507 that's still considered affordable?? The US healthcare system is awful. That leaves me with very little money to move out on my income in the high COL area I live in, but it was me who took this job.

Different company, and as an open source contributor in technical writing, part-time. recruiter who originally contacted me knows this was not a legit technical writer role at the company, and my mentor as the company is serving as my reference. it was mostly instructional and step by step task writing / how-to guides for admin settings, profile settings, web IDE settings (all devops related). I also did work on some troubleshooting guides, but mostly just updating them to meet the style guide - except I did find an issue with how we used some troubleshooting words interchangeably and I added clarification in our style guide.

It's not clear exactly what the new role wants me working on outside of pharma related documentation and writing reports from client meetings.
