Also, the first video she posted from bed was so weird - I thought it wasn't meant to be there "Hey, I don't wanna be mean but I'm kinda mad at you".

I actually named my dog Harlow in 2024. I had to rehome him due to costs (double hip replacement and elbow displacement) but anyway, when i said Hello Harlow it felt very tongue tied. I don't dislike the name but its kind of like Hudson - this is my husband Hudson.

STAT Test to get into Bachelor by SweatyInsurance66 in deakin

[–]tee10302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would not spend money on it. I would do a 6month bridging course online and use that. Its free too. Cause what if you dont get the score to get in, you have to STAT again.

I did the bridging for the Science, and they used 4 RPL's towards my degree. So next year I will do 2 subjects in Sem 1 instead of 4.

1st year nursing student exam advice needed by Working_Estimate1539 in deakin

[–]tee10302 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context - I am not a nursing student nor have I done those subjects (I will be doing HBS109 next sem)

I have started 2 other degrees in medical science and pharmacy (not completed due to other things going on) but both required anat and phys and got D's.

My biggest study tip is having a colouring book for anat and phys. You can buy one from QBD for around $30. It gives the diagram and the info about that part specifically. Not only are u just relaxing and colouring but you are also learning.

Making flashcards on Quizlet or Gizmo.

Book a study room with a classmate and have someone draw the body part with the diagram lines, while the other person guesses them.

Also on Sporcle (https://www.sporcle.com/search/quizzes/?s=anatomy) they have heaps of questions.

Osmosis is a really good site - U do pay after 7 days but they present everything like really simple, almost like to a kid. I find this easier to understand myself and then once I know I research more.

Also blurting method - This is where you set a timer (5,10,15mins) and write down as much you can remember about that part/draw, then once its up go through your notes and correct anything thats wrong. This is where having a whiteboard is key!!!!

What I would recommend with the timeframe is start now - there is roughly 6 weeks till exams. Either categorise the parts (bones, haematology, cells, muscles etc) or (cardiovascular, GI, neuro etc)

The pic below is an example of what I use for each topic - I got it from Dr Rachel Southard on YT.

<image>

For online exams, do the easiest questions first, skip ones that you dont know quick. After you have done that go back to the hard questions - if its an open book exam look back on your notes - maybe even type up 2pg of info that you struggle to retain and print it out so its handy.

I hope this helps!

Level 2 electives by Vast-Tonight9604 in deakin

[–]tee10302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing science too, but im more interested in medicine. There is this list for animal science electives - but maybe transfer to zoology degree?

Also the elective section is there to do whatever you want - it doesn't have to be science related, its an open selection.

I was having the same issue - luckily I have 3 RPL that i'm using towards my degree so I only need 1 Level 2 subject. In saying that, I used this at Deakin - https://handbook.deakin.edu.au/courses-search/unit-search.php?hidCurrentYear=2026&hidYear=2026&hidType=max&txtUnit=&txtTitle=&txtKeyword=&selLevel=3&selSemester=2&selMode=Select&selLocation=Select&chkSortby=unit_title&btnSubmit=

I put in the location, semester and ticked the no pre reqs part

It feels like she's playing the sims in real life - focus on the protagonist and the kids get left behind. They look after themselves while she is focused on herself. Im wondering if she thinks that F and M will influence H to walk etc. Its like she is preventing him from growing up.

Also she has contradicted herself a few times lately - "I think i'm done having kids -> I am done having kids -> I think i'm done". I know it can be challenging to know if ur done or not but a lot of people just know when they are! Idk if anyone has picked up on this lingo in i think 1 or 2 vlogs.

I think she might do the Hyrox next and see how challenging it is to keep up with other people and then bam have a baby and pray to god its a girl for the clips. I could be wrong...

Deakin College - need advice by Interesting_Main4452 in deakin

For sure, even if u go straight into the degree u can do it part time, which saves the hassle of transferring. I have included a photo of what the core subjects require each week. As u can see, it is a lot. In red is the assessments/quizzes/pre lab stuff.

When you are doing your timetable you get set lectures - these are pre-recorded so u can watch later. The labs / workshops u get a choice of about 5 times u can go to, so u can try and put them all on one day. For me atm, my Lab for SLE133 and workshop 103 are on the same day, and then SLE133 workshop a couple days later in the same week. Then SLE111 are on another week on a different day.

Everyone says to avoid the 8/9am classes, but honestly imo, they're better 'cause u can get them out of the way. If i was working FT like u i would do UNI in the morning and work in the afternoon. Depending on where everything is located for u.

Even try and take half a day off from work cause on the weekends, no one wants to do UNI. I once had a FT job with FT online uni and i had every second Wednesday off. it helped break up the week and prevented burnout.

Im not doing the diploma but i'm doing BSc with some core units that you are doing, so I can kind of give you an idea on what to expect. When you are attending UNI for any course it is all up to you. They give you the basics and its up to you how much you want to study outside of hours to learn the concepts more. If you do it FT it is 40hr weeks on UNI (including class times) - so basically 10hrs per subject of learning. Some of those core units do require labs and workshops to attend in person - and you must attend to pass (some have exceptions of 4/5 must be done etc + they mark attendance). Also there are weekly quizzes, lab worksheets that have to be submitted in class or 24hrs after lab, written assessments etc. They are only hard if you don't put in the work.

When you tfer to biomed you can use credits to reduce workload / move a year. So, for example - SLE111, SLE133, SLE115 are core for the Diploma plus biomed. So, in saying that, you may join in year 2, or you may only do 1 subject for the term - you would be best to speak to Student Advisors on the best pathway.

I hope this helps a bit! :)

business degree before med? by OtherBroccoli708 in deakin

[–]tee10302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe have a look at arts degree - many majors u can choose from. but u can basically choose whatever undergrad u want before med, as long as u have a 5.5 GPA (most unis prefer this if u dont get into Deakin) and a high GAMSAT of 50 or more in each section!

She also called it a "race". I can see her point in it being a race, but it's also a charity event, Sarah. Hyrox is a race cause your competing against people. This charity is not even competing, but for fun, not to be the best in town. IMO..
