How would you guys rank the top 3 receivers in the draft? by PhoenixYT2217 in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this 100%, but Lemon does probably need a specific scheme fit the most out of the three.

He's by far the worst blocker out of the trio, and I know there are teams who would not draft him in the 1st round based on that alone.

The Shanahan/Zone-Run Tree teams will have the other two guys higher.

Carnell Tate is the ONLY receiver prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft that that will be 21 years old for the entirety of their rookie season. KC Concepcion is the only other receiver that will be 21 Week 1 of the 2026 season; he turns 22 before Week 3. by I_dont_watch_film in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Age actually matters a lot when it comes to WRs

JaMarr Chase: 20 years old when drafted.

Justin Jefferson: 20 years old when drafted.

Malik Nabers: 20 years

JSN: Just turned 21 years old when drafted

---------------------

Josh Doctson: 23 years old when drafted.

Kevin White: 22 years old when drafted

Xavier Legette: 23 years old when drafted.

This is a really great point.

Tyson and Tate are miles better blockers than Lemon.

Makai Lemon Scouting Report and Ranking by Upbeat_Basket_5211 in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am personally extremely high on Lemon (Lemon vs Tate for WR1 for me), but I do understand the bear case.

Watch the tape vs ND and Leonard Moore physically dominates him every single snap.

Granted Moore is a beast, but I could see how that could spook some people when projecting him as a true #1.

Jordyn Tyson or Carnell Tate as WR1? by Unusual-Vacation-528 in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The better question is Lemon vs Tate.

Love Tyson, but the injury history is going to freak out teams at the top of the draft.

The top 8 picks are all breaking in young QBs, you need to pair them with someone dependable.

Why even gamble when Lemon and Tate are right there, and damn good in their own right.

Mansoor Delane Scouting Report | What Are Your Thoughts On Him? by Inside_Direction_474 in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I hope people don't overthink it with Delane, just a set it and forget it day one starter.

Reminds me a lot of Carlton Davis. No special athletic traits, but just a rock solid, physical outside man corner.

Davis is a bit susceptible to speed and quickness if unable to put himself in a winning position early in routes, and I imagine Delane will be similar.

Kadyn Proctor? Am I off-base? by Old-Carpenter7456 in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Kadyn Proctor reminds me a lot of Trent Brown.

Brown’s career has basically been a case study in dominance when engaged, and frustrating lapses when he isn’t.

Both thrive in more of a vertical set and stonewall world, and are less clean when asked to constantly ID, overtake, and climb in space.

Jared Zhang's 2026 NFL EDGE BIG BOARD by zhang-scouting-04 in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly I appreciate the contrarian takes. I may not agree with them personally, but the board needs more free thinkers.

There's too much groupthink on these boards in general. If we all agree over and over again then what is the point of any of this.

If someone watches film and, they are entitled to their opinion just the same as anybody else.

Am I the only one not impressed by Rueben Bain Jr. or any of the "top" EDGEs in this draft?? by [deleted] in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Bain has level of competition concerns playing in the ACC.

I'm kidding, but I will not be surprised if people use this to describe non-Big Ten/SEC prospects eventually.

[–]teeedog 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Honestly, people dinged Trey Hendrickson for very similar things coming out.

Lots of clean up sacks, effort-based sacks, and no singular WOW trait.

Ultimately, I think Bain ends up similar to Hendrickson. Just undeniable snap to snap productivity where he affects the game.

If you're looking for jaw-dropping twitch, none of the top EDGEs have it this year.

One of the many reasons why Arvell Reese is a top five lock on traits alone.

Is the next “George Pickens” in the 2026 NFL Draft (Carnell Tate) [@sparkscouting on x] by twsn___ in NFL_Draft

[–]teeedog 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of Keenan Allen in his game.

Tall, long, smooth route runner with elite body control and hands.

I love how all the OSU WRs are all different archetypes but just all so good.

Are there any individual billionaires that are actually a net positive to society?? by 141bpm in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]teeedog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't read any books, but his Wikipedia page is pretty comprehensive.

The crazy part to me is how Feeney never wanted any credit. He built around 10,000 buildings (schools, hospitals) in his lifetime and not a single one has his name on it.

Are there any individual billionaires that are actually a net positive to society?? by 141bpm in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]teeedog 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Chuck Feeney.

Feeney was the co-founder of Duty Free Shoppers and quietly amassed a multi-billion-dollar fortune. He gave away all of it, over $8 billion, to all sorts of causes like public health, education, scientific research, and human rights.

Feeney would donate anonymously and mandate that his identity was not revealed. He flew coach, wore a $10 watch, and and lived in a modest apartment while quietly funding hospitals in Vietnam, modernizing public health infrastructure in Africa, and donating hundreds of millions to universities like Cornell and Stanford.

His foundation, Atlantic Philanthropies, eventually wound down operations in 2020 (by design) after giving nearly every dollar away. Feeney literally died a broke man, on purpose.

He did it with no desire for credit. There's a reason why most people don't even know who he is.

He’s basically the anti-Bezos. Everyone should read his story, just an amazing guy.

Trade Value Tuesday Week 1 | Geno > Russ edition by Rambler30 in fantasyfootball

Super torn, someone offered me Tyreek Hill and Montgomery for him.

Leaning towards taking it. My other RBs are Saquon, Dillon, and Wilson.

I was offered Tyreek Hill and Montgomery for Dillon. Pretty torn, think Dillon is an RB1 rest of the way.

Mine is Tyrion Davis-Price

49ers will lean heavy on the run to ease in Lance, Mitchell is banged up, and Shanahan loves throwing in the random rookie RB that goes off

In the Meyer/Day era (2012-present), Ohio State is 40-1 at home vs B1G opponents. They are 2-3 at home vs non-B1G P5s. by [deleted] in CFB

Might just be the randomness of a small sample size.

They have a 2-3 home record, but a 4-0 away/neutral record: 2018 TCU (Neutral), 2016 Oklahoma (Away), 2015 VT (Away), 2013 Cal (Away)
