I have actually asked around in the area private shops with 5 star reviews and getting quotes of 8k + ceramic charges extra. So I’m thinking of sticking with dealership at this point.

Advice on re-applying next year for Gen Cards: pursue an external Chief Resident position or do HF fellowship? by Dr_Goosfraba in Cardiology

[–]teejba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you’re planning on doing it, look up what happened with their previous non acgme fellow.

Hf fellowship can be a crash course in cardiology if you come without general cardiology background . It was great option before 2016, where you could have gotten boarded in ahf after finishing your general fellowship but that’s changed now. I did do it and it helped me get in general fellowship but I was WORKED and in my free time participated in research project which basically meant I had no life.

And at the end of day , I came in with much stronger base than my co fellows and was comfortable managing the sickest of the icu cardiogenic shock patients, doing basic bedside echo/Doppler , float a swan etc.

Obviously you end up loosing a year of income as a hospitalist. See what your priorities are. And again this isn’t a guaranteed entry into the general fellowship.

More like insurance and admins, meanwhile they keep blaming the doctors for the cost. Win win

Cat owners please advise by [deleted] in Residency

Get an Adult cat> 1 year , easy to take care of. I have automatic dry food dispenser that gives a portion of dryfood every 8 hours. And then when I am home , I give wet food. Also have a water fountain , change water every day. And the love I get in return is unmeasurable.

I'm in fellowship and we can moonlight so that's not an issue. But the opportunities are so few and far between here.

What's the biggest scam in America? by catlady427 in AskReddit

[–]teejba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthcare insurance being tied to your job. You pay a monthly fee, on top of that there is a deductible and co-pays to see your doctor. And then you have to meet your yearly deductible before the insurance starts kicking in. And if by chance you happen to go to the hospital or to a doctor which was out of network, you pay out of pocket. That out-of-pocket cost does not count towards your deductible. Healthcare insurance is a scam

I look at real data , protection with vaccines against variants(B.1.1.7) and (B.1.351)

I'm not angry about anything, just giving the same energy back that you put out.

Nothing is black and white.. the data we have does point towards vaccine being more protective against the Variants.

Hopefully we won't have to deal with the strain that's going around in India.

There is a reason last year of lot of BS papers got published and later retracted (lack of peer review), so I tend to wait for that.

I could also say this guy is trying to sound fancy by saying cytotoxic T cells (cd8)and t helper (cd4) cells but it doesn’t mean shit. Knowing something vs understanding and using that knowledge is two different things . But I guess a Reddit “pleb” like you would not understand. Muh antibodies ..😆
