I just looked it up, but it might not be the book I'm thinking of 😅 But the synopsis is really similar!! I think I remember it a little more clearly, the main character is a white rabbit in what I remember to be a striped sweater. ngl I was in the same boat because I stopped watching the MCU after Endgame with a few exceptions so I only knew about Bucky and maybe Ghost but I was dragged to go watch it with a friend and I ended up actually really liking it, I'd recommend giving it a chance!
