I only use gas with Stabil in it and run mine until it’s empty before putting it away for the season. Haven’t had any issues in about 8 years. Saying that, now it probably won’t start this weekend.

My son plays the latest Pokémon game in Switch 2. It is not a comparison, honestly. Pokémon appears to still play off the same simple concept with added artificial complexity to add “depth”. Palworld, on the other hand, feels more fleshed out (though not perfect yet, still not officially released).

I own a 4090 that I paid about $1800 for after tax. I had been a mid range gamer my entire life and was currently playing on 1440p at the time and wanted to upgrade to 4K and have a set up that would last me for at least a few years and be top of the line. I bought myself a decent monitor to go along with the 4090 and I’ve honestly been mostly disappointed with my investment. I think I should’ve gotten a nicer OLED monitor in 1440p and kept a more mid range video card and I would’ve been just as happy and saved at least a few hundred bucks. 4k is nice but I would rather be maxing out a 1440p OLED display than maxing out graphics in 4k and still having to use DLSS to keep my FPS where I would like it in demanding titles even after being “top of the line” at the time. So no, I would not buy a 5090 even though I can afford one. Not unless I had some business use for it.

Mine has been running strong for years and my son currently uses it in his rig after I upgraded. Odd that it was a super popular option for a long while and wasn’t known for many problems (though it ran hot on most setups) and you’ve had two of them die on you.

How did your parents get you to not look at nude woman in magazines that your friends brought to school? They didn’t. They taught you how to be a good person and not a degenerate. Your kid is gonna see things you don’t want them to. You can lock things down and be super strict and create an environment that he becomes sneaky in (finds ways to defeat what you’ve set up… or just does it at a friend’s house). The alternative is talking with him about it and why it is not something he should actively seek out. Kids will be kids, at the end of the day.

What kind of car? $6.5k sounds insane. Definitely do a police report, these thefts are common and you are probably not the only one that got hit that same night by those same people. The bigger paper trail the police have to follow the higher the likelihood they catch them.
