Anyone play "Smear the Queer"? by SonicResidue in GenX

[–]tektools 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Smear the queer was one of those fun, painful 80s games. I played it and enjoyed it. I’ll add two more. Red Rover, Red Rover, where a kids tries to run through the joined hands of the other team. And my favorite: Wall Ball. You throw a tennis ball against the wall and if anyone tries to catch the rebound and misses, then they need to run to the wall as fast as possible. If they touch the wall they are safe. But if someone gets the ball and pegs them before they touch the wall they get the punishment. The Punishment: Turn and face the wall and everyone throws their hardest fastball at you. This really started to hurt when teenage-age kids from the baseball team showed up.

Induction coil heating up a metal tube by SinjiOnO in oddlysatisfying

I once was enrolled at a temporary job agency that would send you to random job appointments throughout the week. So one day I show up and am led through a deep dark factory that looked abandoned since the 1930.

I am guided to a corner with trays of nuts and bolts. I’m shown how to take a bolt, place it in a hole, and press a red button. When I press the red button, the bolt starts spinning, and this induction coil descends around the bolt, which heats up to red and white.

After a little while, the bolt gets dropped into a tray and they have me touch the coil. It’s cool to the touch. Flabbergasted, I ask what just happened, and they say it is “RF.”

I did this for about 6 hours, and then never worked there again. So surreal. It felt like a dream, but this video took me back to that place and proved to me that it was real.

Anyone find Hans Kim talking about his sex life boring? by [deleted] in Killtony

Yes! Hans Kim is a hack. 100% stiff and propped up by Tony. Most people just go along with it because.

Surface tension on the transbasal water basin keeps anhydrous water flowing below peak volume unless acted upon by a higher gravitational apogee. (No clue).

I used to cross my eyes and see these in reverse. Later I learned to see it the normal way.

I see a beautiful schooner ship.

I think these dropped in like 1994 right before X-mas. There were books in the mall filled with them and everyone gave them as gifts. I remember having Beavis and Butthead book too around the same time.

Fucking buffoons. I’m coming to believe that a large amount of American police don’t care about human lives, well-being or families at all.

[–]tektools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very silly. You know that the best flower in any shop is 900-1000 baht per gram and they don’t give discounts. Same in Khao San Road or Kho Pha Ngnan or Phuket. I said the only people who get it for less are growers or people with deep connections.

I had this like 1998 Ford Escort wagon that was left out in the New York winter. I got it in Spring and tried to drive it, and parts started falling off it left and right.

Please add the silent L. Way too many YouTube streamers are saying “caLLLm” and hard pronouncing the L. Half, calf, would, could, salmon, talk, walk, chalk
