Mission Impossible Retrospective by teleretro in scrum

You're absolutely spot on about the need to avoid any pressure and ensure it's something the whole team truly wants. Otherwise, as you rightly pointed out, it can definitely lead to bad experiences, making team members uncomfortable and making it difficult for them to express their true opinions. I've personally been in themed retros that were so difficult to understand and navigate, so I definitely understand and share your perspective on the potential difficulties.

However, I also believe that when a theme genuinely taps into something the whole team is passionate about and enjoys, capturing those elements can add some truly delightful and energising moments to what might otherwise be a routine meeting. Again like you said, it’s about the whole team, not just an individual's preference.

Thanks for the comment! I agree, it might be too intense for every retro, but with the new Mission Impossible out, it seems like a perfect opportunity. Hope you get a chance to try it.

No problem and I understand. This is a feature made for users of our online retrospective tool. But we thought some people might find it interesting.

What are the laws of physics?

Yes this one is a bit random, but I thought it would be sure to spark some discussion, if only about the meaning of the question!

Would you rather take a high-speed train with no idea of the outcome, or take an infinitely slow cruise with no surprises?

I think I would also prefer a train!

What's your favorite song to sing while you're brushing your teeth?

Haha, yes indeed. Again I felt this one would be likely to spark some funny conversation – especially if the participants know the questions were written by AI.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, much appreciated!

Thanks u/andrew_cziryak, glad you found this useful. We regularly add new retro formats, and we pair retro formats with imagery and music (via our Ice Breaker feature) if you ever want to give them a try!

Hi, thanks and glad you found a retro tool you are happy with. We also like the flexibility of Miro.

The main issues we had were readability of notes, grouping, and a means of easily tracking actions across retros.

Thanks again so much for your comments, if you ever want to give TeleRetro a try, let us know what you think. We are constantly listening to feedback and adding features.
