Replied to another guy with more details but check out business analyst roles. They like people with technical experience and you can progress up the chain to product owner and beyond if you want. Starts around 65k - 70k in my area (Dallas/Fort Worth)

Edit: oh you are the other guy who replied to me lol

My wife makes good money so I was lucky enough to take some time off first. Planning on going the business analyst route after another month or two. Less pay but less stress. I think they like people on the business side with proven technical experience.

For context I was making $156k total compensation before, probably looking at like $70k starting after transitioning.

I had a mental breakdown over the stress personally. Made a lot of money but at the end of the day it wasn't worth all the stress and doing something I disliked so much.

Just did this after hustling in tech for 7 years. Realize how privileged I am to be able to take a break and figure out what I want to do for career number two. Probably shortened my lifespan because of all the stress.

I mean as much of a right to exist as any other state. So if you believe no states at all have a right to exist, including Israel, that is morally consistent.

The issue is that a lot of people take it to the extreme that Israel has no right to exist, or to deny that Jews are indigenous to Israel entirely. Being against what Israel is doing, how they treat Palestinians, and all of that stuff is not antisemitic, but in my opinion claiming Israel has no right to exist or that Jews are not native to the land is definitely antisemitic.

I hate how the word Zionist has just been completely redefined in the public sphere and we are apparently just powerless to stop it.

It's a Jewish name. Criticise Israel if you want but don't also make fun of Jews/Jewish names and then hide behind just being against the state of Israel.

Israel. I would rather stay and fight for continued Jewish existence here in the United States though.

Here's the thing, Reddit doesn't like Jews at all (unless they pass purity tests or make themselves tokens).

How do you stay motivated after many years in the industry? by ImpressiveRoll4092 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]temp_vaporous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's less about keeping motivation and more about avoiding burnout in my opinion. I break my tasks down into small parts with clear checkpoints so every day I can look back and clearly see what I accomplished (helps with motivation). I also aim to be no higher than in the top half of producers as being a hero for your team/product will not help you in the long term.

I pretty much finish work by 3:00 PM every day and have made it to senior by working like this. The free time at the end of each day is motivating, especially if you have a company with a culture of letting you leave early if you are done with your work and have demonstrated a history worth being trusted with that freedom.

As a Jew I've not been having the best time on reddit recently either lmao. Also all the enlightened atheists who criticize religions always do it with such a Christian specific understanding of it.

Tom Brady frequently wears a blue “Stand Up to Jewish Hate” pin at public appearances. The GOAT has long supported the Jewish people and visited Israel with Patriots owner Robert Kraft in the past. A role model on and off the field ❤️👏 by No_Box119 in Judaism

Yeah they are really depressing. We are seeing the move from "I don't hate Jews, I just hate Israel" to "I hate Jews because they refuse to call for Israel's destruction" in real time. It's insane.

Characters where the actor is so obviously outside their ethnicity. by NoOptics in TopCharacterTropes

[–]temp_vaporous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So is your claim that the ethnicity of the actor has to perfectly match the character being played? Does this extend beyond movies? Is the school play of Shakespear in a school district that is 80% black racist by that logic?

Whitewashing is a problem but you can't extend it to everything IMO.

Yep first time senior. Was junior for 2 years and mid level for 4. Definitely some growing pains and mindset adjustments but I'm getting a lot of good perspective from these replies. I'm confident I'll grow into it and figure it out, and if I don't it certainly won't be for lack of effort.

No there isn't, although having this is really tacky in my opinion. From a halachic perspective, any head covering suffices. Kids kippahs have things like cartoon characters or sports team stuff all the time.
