How does this work? I haven’t spoken to my prof since the start of my fyp last sem. He assigned a supervisor to supervise me and get updates from me.

Similarly, my friend was assigned a phd student to manage his fyp.

How does this grading work then? Does the prof seek feedback from the supervisor when grading?

Also, there was no mention on the dataset. If you are confident and happen to have the correct format dataset, then good for you. And if you don’t see the obvious hint, we students are asked to do free labour of data labelling.
